Pneumonic Plague Outbreak in China
Chinese authorities have placed the town of Ziketan and the area within a 17-mile radius under quarantine due to the recent pneumonic plague outbreak. Twelve people have been infected, and two have died. Ziketan is a rather small, rural, area with about 10,000 people.
Pneumonic plague is one of the most fatal diseases known, as it is usually fatal within 24 hours and kills nearly everyone who contracts it unless they receive immediate treatment. The disease spreads extremely quickly and is transmitted from person to person by coughing.

BIRD FLU: H5N1 SAME VIRUS AS SPANISH FLU (50 MLN DEATHS)
(AGI) - Rome, Jan. 9 - Spanish flu, which in 1918 killed 50 million people, was caused by a bird flu virus, which evolved and passed from birds to humans. Today's H5N1 is a variant of the same virus and "is the worst ever seen and the most likely candidate to cause the next pandemic", declared in an interview published by "Le Scienze", the virologist, R. G. Webster, who is the biggest world expert in flu epidemics. A bird flu virus, H2N2 causing Asian flu in 1957, and H3N2 causing Hong Kong flu 1968 (both with 1 - 4 million deaths) and again H1N1 in Russia in 1977: in all these cases the virus spread among animals and then transmuted and was spread from man to man. The current virus has not yet spread man to man, but the WHO fears that it could mutate from one moment to the next. H5N1 is fatal for bird in 100 pct of cases, in just 48 hours. It has also hit other mammals, even tigers and leopards and then has spread among man in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and is showing worrying signs in Turkey. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already sent a "pandemic alert" to all governments worldwide a few months back, which indicated what to do to prepare for a pandemic. |

The vials contained samples of Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis, a virus that sickens horses and can be spread to humans by mosquitoes. In 97 percent of cases, humans with the virus suffer flu-like symptoms, but it can be deadly in about 1 out of 100 cases, according to Caree Vander Linden, a spokeswoman for the Army's Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. There is an effective vaccine for the disease and there hasn't been an outbreak in the United States since 1971. From what I am gathering, this illness is resistant to antibiotics and they do not know how to treat it. It is an atypical bioweapon that is resistant to meds. Read the threads. |

Oct 31 Pneumonic Plague Outbreak in China
Filed Under Pandemic
Published: August 3rd, 2009
Two people have died, a town of 10,000 is under quarantine, and the area within a 17-mile radius around it has been sealed to contain a pneumonic plague outbreak:
Chinese authorities have put a whole town in quarantine after an outbreak of horrifying pneumonic plague.
Two people have died from the highly contagious disease, an even more powerful brother of The Black Death the bubonic plague believed to have wiped out a quarter of the population of Europe in the 14th Century.
Pneumonic plague is one of the most virulent and deadly diseases on earth, usually fatal within 24 hours.
It attacks the lungs and kills nearly everyone who catches it unless they get rapid treatment with antibiotics.
A dozen people in the stricken town of Ziketan have so far been infected. The disease spreads fast and is passed from person to person by coughing.
Authorities in northwest China have sealed off the remote town of 10,000 people and begun a treatment and quarantine programme.
Residents are terrified, shops have been shuttered, homes disinfected, face masks distributed, there has been panic buying and streets are deserted, witnesses reported.
The World Health Organisation said it was in close contact with Chinese health authorities and that measures taken so far were appropriate.
It looks serious, but the Chinese regime being what it is, they arent limited by anything in their choice of means to keep the disease from spreading. People are just worker ants for them.
