The Mayan Calendar, 2012, & Spirituality (BRAND NEW Documentary)
Quote

Drunvalo Melchizedek has studied math, physics, art, and meditation, and has been authorized by the Leader of the Mayan Council of Elders (Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez), to speak on behalf of the entire remaining Mayan Civilization. The Mayan Council of Elders has not spoken in over 500 years, and now, they have finally come forth to speak, through Drunvalo Melchizedek, to clarify all the rumors, to put their true prophecies and knowledge into language which the modern world can understand. (he made a video because it is the fastest and most efficient way to get out this important information)

Enjoy.

Hey thanks. Part 8 was more interesting. The rest is slow. Cool that the Mayan claim to be the priesthood of Atlantis!!!! That the pole shifts every 13,000 years at apogee and peragee and we are due any minute! And to be calm...anticipate 30 hours of pitch black darkness and when light returns an altered climate. Interesting.

My kids are half Mayan. My ex wife is the daughter of a well known healer (now deceased). They speak 2 dialects of Mayan languages. How many do you speak, and how many real Mayans do you know? If you want to discuss the details that prove this is all new age fantasy and has nothing to do with true Mayan culture, I have lots of things to back up my BS flag. What do you have other than books and videos made by white people for profit?

There is no such thing as the Mayan Council as he speaks of it. It is a bogus organization. I assure you that the true authorities of the "Mayan" people have never heard of this supposed council of elders. In fact, the people you call Mayan do not even call themselves Mayas. They call themselves by their nation, and they do not consider themselves related to each other. The people call themselves Chuj, Mam, Quiche, Tzotzil, Tojolabal, etc. There are not 440 tribes of Mayas. They are only called Maya, which isn't even a word in any "Mayan" language - it is a word from the Nahuatl language which was imported to the region when the Toltecs expanded their empire eastward and founded the city of Mayapan, part of the triple alliance that included the cities of Chichen Itza and Uxmal. The people you call Maya come from 3 different origins, and they settled at different times in the region, from times long past to more recently. They are considered Mayas only because linguists group their languages in the same family of languages, but a Mayan from Yucatan cannot understand the language spoken by people in Chiapas, Guatemala or Belize.

Furthermore, this guy mixes symbols from what anthropologists call the Classic Mayan period with Aztec symbols - a completely different people, separated by hundreds of kilometers and 800 years. Their languages are different. Their beliefs are different. The Mayan calendar is just a device for counting time and predicting cycles, just like our calendar. The end of the 13 Baktun cycle was celebrated in 1988. The end has come and gone, and since there were never any true Mayan prophecies regarding the end of the cycle, nothing happened, nor will anything happen on the 2012 date, which is wrong, an interpretation of white men with no understanding of the cycles and mechanisms of the time count. If you would like to go deeper, I can even tell you how you can verify that what I am saying is true, if you are willing to follow some exercises and see for yourself.

It really is an insult to these people that lies are perpetuated about them and their culture is misrepresented to spread fear and make money, when the real living Mayan people live in poverty. Right now, there is a thread here about floods in Tabasco, which incidentally has earlier calendar dates registered than anywhere in Guatemala. Those people, the heirs of the people that developed the calendar are sleeping in the mud tonight, but the people that sell books on their name are sleeping in a warm bed, well fed, their children have access to health care and education.

I'm not surprised on that. I did appreciate his brief summation of how the "Mayan" calendar marks the precession of the equinoxes.

I do intuitively feel that this planet has been in some kind of quaranteen and a "new world" is about to manifest... and I hope not the new world the satanist elite are planning on. Surely all their plans will come to ruin.

I do hope a new human consciousness is on the horizon. I'd be most interested in your opinion.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 806723

The precession of the equinoxes is predicted by the cycles, but not in the way he explains it. The sky was divided into 5 segments. That is what the 5200 vague year cycle is all about. It is the time it takes for the equinoxes to move backward by 72 degrees along the zodiac.

I don't believe in a new world by the grace of a higher power. We as individuals need to act and make our own lives and small world a better place. Every person that achieves this is an example and inspiration for others to do the same. Making a better world requires serious effort and strong actions by individuals. As we learn to know and be ourselves, we raise our awareness and consciousness. Wishing for a better world, bathing in "love and light" or depending on advanced beings to help us will get us nowhere. In fact, it is an obstacle in our path.

I do not believe in Satan or good vs evil. Human consciousness can only be renewed on an individual level. This is my opinion, based on my experience, based on the traditions of my own people and the people I lived with in southeastern Mexico. I do accept that I may be wrong about that, but it has proven true for me in my own smaller world.

Also not true. Time keepers continue to keep tallies of the passing of time. The cycle ended and another began. Kind of like how new years eve isn't the end, we don't stop counting, we just start a new year and count the days in that year.

I'm totally with you on BEING THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE. However there is an underlying spiritual reality of which I am absolutely convinced. And so frankly, are TPTB who are commited to rituals and black magic throughout the centuries. Certainly developing our own self awareness and integrity is immensley important in setting an example for those around us and the future.

I still feel an underlying acceleration quite intensly.

Do you have a link with more accurate explanations of the calendar. Your information sounds very credible.

No. The only other person I know that speaks English and that has written about this has tried to get a book published and nobody wants to touch it, because readers want doom and spiritual ascension, not the facts. She used to write on a forum that isn't active anymore. I could explain whatever you need to know, but it is late and I need to get to bed. I will check in tomorrow.
