I used to be on this site quite frequently. I can't believe what it has become... Actually, I can and I should see how racist ideologies work nowadays...

Stop living in fear... come on people!! Most of you who agree with this thread are the ones posting about how we should stop living in fear, remember?

Muslims are not that different than you. Americans have committed numerous atrocities in the name of liberty and freedom, capitalism and liberal politics. What is the difference of muslims commiting atrocities in the name of religion or whatever?
Violence against the Human race is still Violence period. No matter how you justify it. In fact justifying it makes it worse.
Wake the fuck up americans, your govt. kills millions directly and mostly indirectly (which is even more cruel) by exploting 3rd world countries and starting wars we don't need.

I'm not coming back to read this site for a while... every time I do there's lots of pinned threads like these. It just makes me sick to my stomach.

Re: Should Devout Muslims Be Allowed In The United States Military?Quote

No devout Muslims in the US military.

That's got to be the height of stupidity. As soon as a soldier claims to be converted, he's out. And if he was born Muslim, he doesn't get near our military.

Our military is probably up to its eyeballs in al qaeda wannabees, working within the system.

In fact, maybe it would be best to keep anyone who claims devotion to a religion should be kept out.

Devout Baptists, Catholics, Vegetarians, Jews...everydamnbody OUT!

We've been develping weapons for centuries and they get taken down by one unbalanced guy with a handgun (so they say)..

Why don't we just go back to throwing rocks and hitting each other with sticks?

When do we declare war on Mexico and then enlist a bunch of illegal Mexicans to fight it for us? That sounds like a solid idea, judging by past experience.

This whole thing is fucked up from top to bottom.

Re: Should Devout Muslims Be Allowed In The United States Military?Quote

My yes answer is based solely on the discrimination factor.

Our military has many foreign nationals serving ~ why not discriminate on THAT basis? Freedom of religion is a constitutional guarantee and even military service should not abridge it.

However, there were indicators in this guys behavior that in hindsight, should have helped his superiors weed his ass out.

Well sorry, Princess.

Peace is an unobtainable goal. It's NEVER going to happen as long as humans are running the show.

Yes we're cruel, yes we're WRONG.. but nothing is going to stop man from making war on other men.

That's just the fucked up way we are.

I wish it could all be rainbows and butterflies too, but that's not reality.

Sorry.

Rahm Emanuel comes to mind...

And as for the muslim faith ~ it's probably unfair to use such a wide brush to paint ALL of them.

My personal opinion: If you find yourself in a situation that causes conflict with what ever values you subscribe, then remove yourself from the situation, because YOU made the error in judgment by entering into it.

CNN just said this guy that took out the base was complaining to a store clerk about having to go overseas and kill other muslim terrorists...

So one must ask themselves...

WHAT IN THE FUCK WAS THIS GUY DOING IN THE UNITED STATES MILITARY?

an estimated 15,000 Muslims are serving throughout the U.S. armed forces

Were Muslims ever caught spying on the US and being part of the largest spy ring ever caught

Were Muslims ever found sneaking around US Nuclear facilities

Did the Muslims ever attempt to sink a US ship (killing several) and blame it on another country.

Are Muslims behind the drug and illegal organ trafficking

Are Muslims behing the Pornography industry

Were Muslims dancing as the WTC collpsed

Do Muslims practice genocide on a virtually unarmed group

Did the Muslims build an illegal "apartheid wall" on stolen land

I don't care for Muslims either way, but to blame an entire culture for one man's actions is silly when other cultures have made it clear that they do not have the best interests of the US in mind.

you should be trained from birth to know how to defend yourself with a weapon and bare hands. no war is needed. if anyone threatens YOU or YOURS, then YOU and YOURS defend yourself. thats it. if no one is harming you then why harm someone? leave war alone its only needed in self defense ...

I voted no, and here's why...I believe it is both dangerous, foolhardy and just plain cruel to expect ANY enlisted man or woman to fight against their roots or their country of origin, AGAINST THEIR WILL!!!

Sorry...but that's just common sense to me. We need to take this as an object lesson to restructuring our troops and show some sensitivity and strategic common sense to those we place into harms way. Difficult? You bet! But emplimenting wisdom isn't always easy to do;)

You Americans are the main supporter of the muslim world's enemy number one, Israel, and you are waging war on two muslim countries on totally bogus premises.

Are you really surprised you have pissed them off? Do you really expect you can do whatever you like to others without retaliation on some sort??

"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

Freedom of religion is in your constitution. Are trying to turn this into a religious war?

Forgetting that cia trained the terrorist? And forgetting that you have been programmed to think that this is a religious war. It was planned long before.

What the fuck do you really know about the reasons this guy says this. CNN? How reliable.
