Goodbye freedom Hello 14th Amendment U.S. Citizenship. Once that was crammed down the throats of the several states/countries, the frog was in the pot, lit, and the heat was turned up only a half a click each year. Barely noticeable. In fact, they actually had people hopping in the pot left and right! Voluntarily of course... Was only a matter of time till they were having generations worth of frogs for supper....all they could eat. |

Quoting: ChildofGodI agree and the Civil War (1861-1865) was America's first MODERN war. Just think of it, Gatling guns were used for the first time on our soil (they were a precursor to the machine gun.) But, it's not about armaments, it was all about going up against the Rothschild family of Europe and as the poster pointed out, the nefarious central banks. There were other economic and trade factors in the war and of course, with cotton the chief commodity of the South, the deck was stacked against them with the Northern steel mills and other factories for pumping out military and war related equipment. The abolition of slavery is/was really something of a "red herring" and Lincoln and the others knew it was a great cover. While the Negro population received many benefits through the war(including 40 acres and a mule to go west)as well as voting rights for their men, it would be another fifty-five years before women got the vote. States rights have been demonized in the subsequent 150 years since the Civil War and linked to segregationists, KKK, etc. While those things are true and so very nasty in their own right, our founding fathers believed in states' rights as a way of fighting a strong central government and central bank - the very things we have today. Look at the stories on cities with the largest job growth - guess what? One of the top ones is Washington D.C. Through neglect and dereliction of duty by all of us Americans, we have allowed the very form of government those 18th century leaders warned us about. It is a monster and wait until the national health care crap kicks in and you'll see what a cruel monster this mega oligarchical government is. There is a reason some of the wealthiest Americans are moving themselves and their families to other countries. They see what's coming. (Can't start too early thinking about Christmas). |

It looks like, for some of the influential people behind the American revolution, it was less about universal freedom and sufferage and more about getting the king out of the way so they could be the ones ruling in his place. |
