It is smaller but whiter and brighter, because it is because a helium dominate sun, as part of the ascension of the solar system. It will not wear out thusly.

I agree, I'm in Saskatchewan and have thought that thus sun is much brighter than I ever remember it. Something in the atmosphere maybe? related to solar system changes?

It only "looks" brighter because you spend most your day in the dark on GLP and your eyes haven't seen a lot of light for a long time. Not like you saw when you were younger.
