Then propose an anti abortion bill ON ITS OWN, and let it sink or swim ON ITS OWN.

---

Surely you realize there already IS legislation on abortion. It's legal, yes but I'm sure as HELL NOT GOING TO PAY FOR SOMEONE TO KILL THEIR CHILD.

Again, then Republicans should propose anti abortion legislation ON ITS OWN. What dont you understand?

The issue isn't anti or pro, it's should we ALL be rquired to PAY for it, that's the point here....if a woman chooses to end her childs life, why shouldn't the rest of us have the choice NOT to paticipate!!!!!!

the issue is affordable health care... pro or anti....

I am a little curious about why the House is stalling the final vote for so long.

If the vote is postponed until tomorrow, then we should be cautious of another "amendment" being added to the bill overnight.

Re: Watch Health Care Vote Live NOWQuote

All those Republican amendments are part of the bill. Well, at least some have been whittled away. Now if they could only whittle away the corporate inclusions...

Have you read the bill in its entirety? I haven't but I'm pretty sure I can confidently say that the republicans haven't take up more than a quarter of the space to offer up a few amendments. The only amendments offered are in response to what is already in that enormous bill. Why do you continue to argue with such ridiculous points?

Just chiming in to say I'm watching too...glad to see my GLP brothers and sisters are also watching the most important legislative fight in our lifetimes. Pelosicare is ultimately not about health care, it's about an explosion of an already giant government, it's about huge funding payoffs to Obama-friendly corporations, and enslaving us and countless generations to come with massive, massive debt.

The American people are watching. I had the honor of speaking to our One Year Recall Rally today. The patriots are engaged, and they are in it for the long hall. We are coming with pink-slips for Congress--we are getting ready to do some MAJOR firing in 2010.

Re: Watch Health Care Vote Live NOWQuote

Im on dial up and cant view the live feed. Have they begun to vote yet???

Any idea on how the vote is going to go??

Is there ANY chance that we are not going to get stuck with this damn bill??

even if the house passes it, it still has to go to the Senate and they Say they won't look at it till next year.

This is like cap and trade and amesty bills. The house passes ithem and the shit storm hits the senate and it doesn't get passed.

The house dems who pass this bill are walking the plank and are being sacraficed.

Gee PAC, can you really trust the one hundred most arrogant and useless men on the planet to stop this?
They are all very rich men who would sell their souls for a buck.

HE'LL NO I DONT TRUST THE SENATE.

I trust the millions if Americans who are pissed off and letting them know they will be fired if the pass it. Why do you think Reid is moving the vote to next year? HE DOESNT HAVE THE VOTES.

Of course there is a very good chance they will fall on their swords and pass it, but if they do we get back control of congress with a ALL NEW CONSERVATIVE GOP. REBORN

PAC, what is with your fetish with the GOP? Why not vote for the Constitution party? They are real conservatives.

If you keep worrying about party, you are just going to fall for the same B.S. every time.

What's wrong PAC, too much of a pussy to respond?

I've seen him respond to this question many times...thinks like I do about it....a third party is an idea being promoted by Liberals to split the conservative vote...thus more or less guaranteeing they maintain control....The GOP was corrupted by this big bullshit pleaser mentality and we lost the conservative values that once made us great....now I am somewhat socially liberal...but I am somewhat to the right of Genghis Khan when it comes to most everything else. We will be far more effective if fiscal conservatives can regain control of the Republican party and these RINO spenders and gov expanders can go where they ought to be...to the Liberal Demorat party....the conservative leaning independents will more than make up for the RINOs departure....3rd party means 50 vs 35 and 15...guess which hand wins then...
 Quoting: SHR

Ok, fair enough. So PAC should think of the GOP as a means, not an end.

But if he did that, he wouldn't crow about Repubs winning against Dems, but about conservatives winning against liberals.

Problem is, that is all he talks about. Dem vs. Repub. If a Repub that is more liberal than his Dem opponent won, PAC would be overjoyed. He focuses on the wrong end.

He needs to quit giving the GOP a free pass, and judge them as harshly as the Dems. Maybe if all conservatives did that, the GOP would change its ways.

No, it's been 2000 pages for quite some time now... not including the secret amendments made to it before the House was brought into session earlier today.

I expect more "amendments" will be silently added should the vote be postponed until tomorrow.

Then that was back in July.

The only amendment made today was the one Nancy Pelosi decided to slip in at the last second.

Also, the Stupak Amendment was never actually a part of the bill itself... the Republicans merely proposed the amendment to be added to the current bill.
