I have to disagree because it is going to put so many private insurance companies out of business. We won't have anywhere to go.
Also who is going to want to enroll in med school under this system? Oh, I forgot. The government will say who can be a physician and attend med school, etc. So we will only lose the best and the brightest.
And they are proposing to even pay specialists the same amount as GP so no specialists when there is already a shortage? No one is going to spend their life in training for nothing.
So it will be very hard to undo this once it is enacted because it will reach far and wide.
Don't worry because there will thousands of "Doctors" from Pakistan, India, China, outer Mongolia, Congo...etc etc....that will be willing to flock here and I'm sure soon enough a degree in Medicine from Mudwater University in Sierra Leone is going to be plenty good to practice in the US. All American’s, not just the rich, deserve to have access to health care.
For 15 years, we haven’t had reform. During the Bush administration, the Republicans did NOTHING to fix our broken system of health care. All he did was put us into a war which was NOT justified, there were no weapons of mass destruction. And he did it because he knew there were no terrorists, he knew the towers came down by controlled demolition.
100 years ago health care was between you and your doctor. We need to get rid of all of our Insurance companies for health care who try to dictate what you and your doctor decide. We need to get back to preventative health care and not health care driven by Drug company monopolies who just want to force drugs on us.

Have you ever actually read a page other than the Liberal squawking points? BUSH passed THE most sweeping change in Medicare since it was implemented, it was also called "probably the most fiscally irresponsible piece of legislation since the 1960s" by the US Comptroller...and in typical gov fashion the real cost of it was hidden and far more than we were told it would be...It was called " The Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act" or Medicare Part D and created Medicare advantage and was a typical giant pile of pouring money into another gigantic gov program....read something once in awhile then you might not make completely false bogus statements like the ones you make above...

Oh and BTW since this bill was heavily crafted by the drug companies guess what your "wellness care" is going to be?...DRUGS...and since the gov is going to be in control guess what happens if don't comply with they tell you is the treatment...you get cut off....so figure it out...you go to a doctor because of some problem...you get prescribed a chemical...if you don't think you should be taking it?...fuck you, you either take it or you are in non-compliance and good luck going through 367 layers of channels and gov bureaucracy once that happens...you'll die before you won't comply...so just like the gov knows that the swine flu shot is what you need?...you'll be doing what they say you need to be doing and going for regular check ups and if you think you don't need that cholesterol drug your opinion is going to mean shit and you will be taking it or else...that's the way ALL gov programs work....

Sorry, Kat Mamma, but PAC is ALL about party only. He still believes that the Repubs are about fiscal conservatism even after Bush and the Repubs passed the Medicare Prescription Bill.

All politicians are bad but some are worse than others. George Soros mother was a founding member of the Hemlock Society so much are they invested in death, population reduction, euthanasia.
Soros spent $2 billion to try to get Kerry elected and failed. Anything Soros supports, I oppose.
