The earth is getting older at the rate of 21 million years per year for the last 220 years.
That's 40years/min. (aging very rapidly)

That's what science does. New evidence, new theory or modification of current theories. Unlike those of religious persuasion which tend to say that X is this and can be nothing else as their religious text says otherwise.
