As soon as hard times come, they expect the government to come to their aid. THAT IS NOT THE JOB OF THE GOVERNMENT! The government has two jobs. Representing the people and defending the nations THAT IS IT. Medicaid, food stamps, welfare are all just more ways for government officials to STEAL MONEY. FYI, both my husband and I HAVE 'jobs' ....we are small business owners and HAVE BEEN for over 25 years. We have never used medicaid, food stamps, welfare or any other gov't. handout. We live off the grid, we recycle what trash we generate, we don't smoke or drink. So your 'foolish luxuries' statement does not apply.

It always amazes me that people who are so brainwashed they can't even THINK about others who are not in their same position/lifestyle revert to confusing the issues and downright cruelty, using terms like 'lazy slobs' 'king and queen of america' etc.

Well, according to the law, this is what is supposed to be done and really, it sound pretty good to me:

-Form a group of people (local officials, law officers, military, and business owners) that feel the same way you do.
-Organize a meeting in order to split the legal fees and get a lawyer to find out which laws have been broken and which charges need to be placed.
-File a multi-person law suit against all the representatives and politicians in favor of this bill.
-If your representative votes in favor of, head to their office and demand their resignation for breaking the law. Give them 30 days to resign. Give them a copy of the law suit, just in case it wound up ‘missing’.
-If they refuse to resign within 30 days, head to your sheriffs office and tell him he needs to place them under arrest for the several constitutional laws that were broken.
-Tell your sheriff if he does not enforce the law, you will go to the media and expose him for doing such. In addition, tell him he too will need to resign.
-Find the deputies and remind them that they swore to uphold the laws of the land.
-Find the local judge and tell him you intend to place the representative under citizens arrest for the said charges. Then, demand that if he sets bail to order the representative temporarily dismissed until further notice. Tell the judge he must set hearing dates for the said charges. Remind the judge how serious of an issue this is and if it is treason, bail should NOT be set.
-Go to the representative’s office and place them under citizen’s arrest. Hand them over to a deputy.

This clause may make this healthcare bill unconstitutional under the regulation of Commerce. Thoughts?

And it does make me angrier. I am even thinking of taking the ten percent hit and liquidating all of it. Have been doing so incrementally but from need mostly. Think I will just take it all after first of year for new tax year.

Then declare bankruptcy as I am already losing my home, won't have any assets as will not pay on my car except payments as required. There will be nothing in assets they can take then.

Loook, the person who was complaining doesn't even have a basic understanding of the constitution or economics. Yes, it's miserable to see anyone going through these difficulties, but this legislation is unlawful and it won't fix a damn thing. It will make it FAR worse. I'm sorry you are experiencing this, but many in our country are in the same position ourselves. Along with our jobs went our health insurance. Companies like my husband's who don't comply with Cobra, don't send the forms...not like anyone can afford it anyway. But in my opinion, the tragedy of this bill is the mandate and threat of criminal charges, 5 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine!

Not only is it unconstitutional, that has only become talking points in Washington by the Republicans. I would have more respect for them if they actually had military there to arrest any Representative who commits this treasonous act against the American people. The more rope we give them, the more they take, and they are hanging us!

This isn't about healthcare for American's at all. This is an evil take-over of every Sovereign American citizens lives. This is communism...forget socialism. This will only serve Corporate America and Greedy Politicians!!

Frankly, I believe in my heart this bill will not pass in the Senate, but those in the Congress who pass it should be run out of office.

One last note to those who keep calling our country a "democracy".....Our country is a Republic, PLEASE learn the difference. Those in Washington are ruling as if we were a democracy...they know what's best for us, and they decide as elected officials that you put in office, what they will do. Once there, it doesn't matter what you think anymore. That is a democracy. A true Republic is a government "of the people", "by the people" and "for the people". Our representatives forget they are to RE-PRESENT the will of the people!
