When the physicians quit and close their practices en masse
because of this, then good luck finding competent and experienced doctors to replace them.

Having "government health insurance" is not the same thing as having access to proper health care.

I really don't think it's fear mongering, look at the numbers that are tired of the deceptions and you are seeing the people that are going to refuse to continure to participate in the game.

If they want to water down the Audit the Fed bill, shove this healthcare down my throat, and continue these wars for their own gain, I just hope the are prepared to pay for it with their own money because the only way to quit participation is to quit funding it.

Get my drift.

The bottom line for me is the system is broken. Broken.

No Republican, Democrat, Anarchist, Patriot, whatever can fix it. Some of you talk as though, if only someone sees it your way, it can be fixed. I don't think that's going to happen.

Those who say that we have to wait for the system to reset itself are correct, I believe.

It appears to be panic-driven denial to think there's much that can be done.

*We can contribute to the chaos.
*We can hide away and try to take care of our own as best we can.
*We can despair.
*We can accept that sometimes countries deteriorate.

I've done what I can and have my money out of the system. We have a small piece of land in the country which we can retreat to, if necessary. Think we have what we need as much as anyone can. I have a number of useful skills. I have loved ones.

My choice will be to stand by to help pick up the pieces. Those who make a similar choice will be appreciated as much as those of us who make a stand.

It'll take a little of everything, I think.

Vote.

Campaign.

Donate time and money.

That's what a lot of people did for the Dems, and they got Obama, AND they got big majorities in the House and Senate.

It was/is still hard to get their agenda through, principally bc the monority party still has the right to act as bad faith obstructionists.

A suggestion for where to put your time and effort:

Get the money wielding special interests OUT of Washington, and maybe our government will start to resemble the "representative republic" it is supposed to be.

But talk of anything else -- I've seen a bunch of threats of violence on this thread -- is really just unAmerican. Childish to boot -- whining bc you lost.

First off vote them out of a job/office. Second, tell every company in America if they hire any of these former congressmen/women their companies will be boycotted out of business.

Basically fire them and make it so they are unable to get any job period. No more income for them.

That's for sure!

The two are at odds with each other. Insurance companies are in it for the money. The priority of proper health care is health and healing for the patient.

Why do you call it 'un-american?' Right now I have NO health coverage. I'm treating myself for flu as we speak. My husband has a pre-existing condition and will NEVER get an ins. co. to cover him. My sis in law HAS insurance and she's been screwed around since JULY and is STILL in the hospital...about to be transferred to a nursing home because her doctors can't get her surgery right. Gimme a break...SOME health oversight is better than NONE. Now go tune in fox news and stuff yourself with lies.

What you explain is life and in your case your problems are NOT someone else's problems. Your husband should have gotten insurance BEFORE he was 'pre-existing'. Most people choose to squander their life away spending their earnings on toys trinkets, beer and foolish luxuries pretending their are the king and queen of America. As soon as hard times come, they expect the government to come to their aid. THAT IS NOT THE JOB OF THE GOVERNMENT! The government has two jobs. Representing the people and defending the nations THAT IS IT. Medicaid, food stamps, welfare are all just more ways for government officials to STEAL MONEY. Not tote along pathetic slobs too lazy to NOT feel sorry for themselves.

If your suffering now then you should get a job. Work from home if need be. I don't care how old you are. You AND your pre-existing husband. But just as a reminder, America was robbed blind by thieves and madmen in our GOVERNMENT. Our money is all gone. In a perfect system, America would be so wealthy we could afford health care for the entire world. So go ahead, wish to give the thieves more control for your own benefit. You won't be one penny more fortunate. In fact, if I were you, I would prepare for further suffering.

PS - They don't want to fix your problem, they want to eliminate you. Grasp reality.

Good god, got a little anger management issue going on, don't you? Talk about confusing the issue....
FYI, both my husband and I HAVE 'jobs' ....we are small business owners and HAVE BEEN for over 25 years. We have never used medicaid, food stamps, welfare or any other gov't. handout. We live off the grid, we recycle what trash we generate, we don't smoke or drink. So your 'foolish luxuries' statement does not apply.

It always amazes me that people who are so brainwashed they can't even THINK about others who are not in their same position/lifestyle revert to confusing the issues and downright cruelty, using terms like 'lazy slobs' 'king and queen of america' etc.

The madmen who robbed us of our money were instituted by and left ungoverned by the 'hands off' republican mantra. Who do you think was in power while wall street danced away with our money? Enron? AIG? Big Banks? Turn your anger away from blaming PEOPLE and learn the HISTORY of our government.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20901

It was the far left who demanded a mortgage for all, specifically Clinton and Barney Franks and threatened banks with discrimination suits if they didn't comply. Claimed it was a "Right" for every American to own a home.

This was done without regard to whether or not the person applying could repay the mortgage or not. ACORN thugs actually threatened bank officers, etc.

And it collapsed the banking industry.

So unless you owned stock in Enron, you were not effected. Yeah, Bush wasted billions but Obama has trillions.

They are all bad but represent different factions of TPTB who are at war with each other now. This current administration is the Soros faction and there is no one who is more supportive of population depopulation than Soros.
 Quoting: Bluebird

This is so true, watch what government did to mortage companies and now watch as the do the same thing to health.

There is something wrong with healthcare, but this bill will only make it much worse.

I say fix the things that are broke, people need to learn responsibility and demand that the government do the right things. Get MSG, Hormones, HFCS, Aspertane, chemicals out of the food supply (those help create alot of the problems).

Break up the state monoplies on insurance, for that matter break up the monoplies on hospitals owning clinics. Let the free market rule and allow alternative health practices into the fold of health options.

This bill does nothing but try to hide and force more government and as everyone now should see that just damn doesn't work. The rich get richer and the middle class disappears. That is exactly what is going to happen with this bill.

What I find so interesting is I pay 100 percent of health insurance for my employees, with this new bill companies that don't pay at least 75 percent of the health insurance will have requirements under this new bill.

Now think about that, I can and alot of others can reduce their participation from 100 percent to 75 percent. Just who is going to pay the other 25 percent. Those that get the insurance, that's the middle men. I employ 100 people, in this economy I'm always looking for reductions and that is one area you just don't fool with. The government is fooling with it and they are opening a door to businesses that is going to have major ripple effects.

I pay 60000 a month for insurance at 100 percent, if the government only requires 75 percent and companies are looking for relief just what do you think is going to happen.

Fix the problems but do not place the responsibilities back to the companies, you are really asking for troubles.

Anyone who is an employee with withholding will have to quit their job. This bill gives total power to the IRS. You'll have to drop out of the system and earn cash to get around their theft.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 758380

You can define the number of withholdings on a W-4. How many IRS agents are going to be needed to engage all of a countries citizens to verify the withholdings. You just might have a business that gives you the write offs that allow 15 deductions. It isn't until the end of the year when the tally is taken that this is disputed. This assumes you play the game an file a return. If 4 million people quit the game, just how many are going to be needed to try to enforce the rules. This is their game and it means that everyone would have to take the rule book back.

The States Can Stop Obama
by Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret.)
2009 Oct 28

By now we have all heard the clichés and seen the posters from the "Tea Parties" espousing freedom, less government, and perhaps most of all, how the federal government had better back off trying to shove their national healthcare down our otherwise healthy throats. The truth of the matter is all the slogans of "Don't Tread On Me" or "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death" or "We're Mad As Hell And We're Not Taking It Anymore," don't mean a thing when compared to reality; the real and actual answer to all the protests, marches, and outrage. The answer is in our own backyards! The States can stop every bit of it! That's right, the individual States can stop "Obamacare" and all other forms of out-of-control federal government mandates and
"big brother" tactics. If Arizona, Hawaii, New Hamshire, Texas, etc. want nothing to do with National Healthcare as proposed by Barack Obama or Congress, then all they have to do is say "No!"

For you skeptics who think the States could no more do this than fly to the moon, let's look at the law. First, the U.S. Constitution is the ultimate and supreme law of the land. More specifically, the Bill of Rights was established, because some of our Founding Fathers, feared that the Constitution did not go far enough in restricting or limiting the central government. Hamilton was one of a select few who wanted a bigger and powerful federal government. However, several key states and powerful delegates such as Patrick Henry, said they would not support the formation of a new government if the Constitution did not contain a Bill of Rights, a supreme law to establish basic and fundamental human rights that could never, for all future American generations, be violated, altered or encroached upon by government. So the Framers of our Constitution came up with ten; ten God-given freedoms that would forever
be held inviolable by our own governments.

The last of these basic foundational principles was the one to protect the power, sovereignty, and the autonomy of the States; the Tenth Amendment. This amendment and law underscores the entire purpose of the Constitution to limit government and forbids the federal government from becoming more powerful than the "creator." Let's be very clear here; the States in this case were the creator. They formed the federal government, not the other way around. Does anyone believe rationally that the States intended to form a new central government to control and command the States at will? Nothing could be further from the truth. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution details what duties the federal government will be responsible for under our new system of "balanced power." Anything not mentioned in Article 1, Sec. 8, is "reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." (Tenth Amendment) Hence, the federal government was not allowed creativity or carte blanche to expand or assume power wherever and whenever they felt like it. The feds had only discrete and enumerated and very limited powers. Omnipotency was the last thing the Founding Fathers
intended to award the newly formed federal government. They had just fought the
Revolutionary War to stop such from Britain and their main concern was to prevent a
recurrence here in America.

In perhaps the most recent and powerful Tenth Amendment decision in modern history, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Mack/Printz v U.S. that "States are not subject to federal direction." But today's federal Tories argue that the "supremacy clause" of the U.S. Constitution says that the federal government is supreme and thus, trumps the States in all matters. Wrong! The supremacy clause is dealt with in Mack/Printz, in which the Supreme Court stated once and for all that the only thing "supreme" is the constitution itself. Our constitutional system of checks and balances certainly did not make the federal government king over the states, counties, and cities. Justice Scalia opined for the majority in Mack/Printz, that "Our citizens would have two political capacities, one state and one federal, each protected from incursion by the other." So yes, it is the duty of the State to stop the Obamacare "incursion." To emphasize this principle Scalia quotes James Madison, "The local or municipal authorities form distinct and independent portions of the Supremacy, no more
subject within their respective spheres, to the general authority than the general authority is subject to them, within its own sphere." The point to remember here is; where do we define the "sphere" of the federal government? That's right; in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution and anything not found within this section belongs to the States or to the People. So where does health care belong? The last place it belongs is with the President or Congress. It is NOT their responsiblity, and the States need to make sure that Obama does not overstep his authority.

Just in case there is any doubt as to what the Supreme Court meant, let's take one more look at Mack/Printz. "This separation of the two spheres is one of the Constitution's structural protections of liberty. Hence, a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other..." What? The Constitution, the supreme law of the land, has as a "structural protection of liberty" that States will keep the federal government in check? No wonder it was called a system of "checks and balances." The States (and Counties) are to maintain the balance of power by keeping the feds within their proper sphere.

So do the States have to take the bullying of the federal government? Not hardly! The States do not have to take or support or pay for Obamacare or anything else from Washington DC. The States are not subject to federal direction. They are sovereign and "The Constitution protects us from our own best intentions." (Mack/Printz) Which means the States can tell national healthcare proposals or laws to take a flying leap off the Washington monument. We are not subject to federal direction!

In the final order pursuant to the Mack/Printz ruling Scalia warned, "The federal government may neither, issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States' officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program. Such commands are fundamentally incompatible with our constitutional system of dual sovereignty." It is rather obvious that nationalized healthcare definitely qualifies as a "federal regulatory program."

Thus, the marching on Washington and pleas and protests to our DC politicians are
misdirected. Such actions are "pie in the sky" dreaming that somehow expects the tyrants who created the tyranny, will miraculously put a stop to it. Throughout the history of the world such has never been the case. Tyrants have never stopped their own corrupt ways. However, in our system of "dual sovereignty," the States can do it. If we are to take back America and keep this process peaceful, then state and local officials will have to step up to the plate. Doing so is what States' Rights and State Sovereignty are all about.

Quoting: part of a quote I agree with

It isn't republican or democrat that is going to change the system, it is the american people. I believe that the current health care system is such a fraud. We can build the most amazing things, yet for 50 years we have not found anything closer to curing cancers.

The new medicines on the horizon are frequency medicines, look at lazars and now look into sounds. Rife technologies were closed down in 1940's but they are coming back and the only good thing about this healthcare bill will push people into accepting that new medicines are on the horizon.

If we have to suffer with this ram down our throats without the proper way of fixing it then great because I see that alternative medicines will increase because the other methods will just hold way to many strings.

For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

I keep thinking passive resistance would speak very loudly.

If everyone prepared their taxes and then all those who wanted accountability by our leaders withheld them until some positive results were realized. . .

I don't think the plan could be too complicated because you'd want the majority to agree on it. That by itself seems an impossibility these days.

People would have to be prepared for a real train wreck for a while but if that didn't bring the leaders to their senses I don't know what would. Money talks in this country.

It would save the bother of cleaning up dead bodies off the streets as well. ;)

I think withholding taxes is where the peoples' power lies.
