WOW!! This is a huge happening. Only on GLP would you find planetary and solar system history happening right in front of your eyes. Don't miss this, it's awesome.
This was posted on another thread today, but it's on page 3 of that thread and should be here on page 1 for everyone to see. Watch the video clip. It's short, but you can definitely see the Sun flipping and a polar shift occurring.

The sun did something like that about 3 years ago, everyone said it was the camera, but as stated in the earlier thread, why did the background remain the same?

Just curious...why do you say today...it looks like it happened on Oct 25-26.

Sorry, you are right. I should have said during the past week or so. But, if you look at the other thread and other pic I posted, there is some crazy activity today also. The pics look like the Sun is spinning.
There is a lot more detail in the other GLP thread. I'm just wanted to emphasize the other thread about the Sun's activity so sorry for the error in the thread title.
THE SUN'S GOING CRAZY AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO TAKE A LOOK AT THIS INFORMATION.
Something really big is happening right before our eyes.

just had a crazy thought... does this has anything to do with the change of our system's position in the galatic eclipt? is the earth going to do a physical super fast switch like the sun? what would happen to the earth's crust if it spun around at that speed?

Perhaps it's being filmed from above one of the poles..

and that's why houses need seatbelts.
Cause its gonna be a bumpy ride. Life is like a ride at an amusement park and when you go on it you think it's real cause that's how powerful our minds are.- Bill Hicks
When you really think about it we are all just a small part of the universe
not even taking up .00000001 of a% interesting isn't it?

Every time something cool happens there comes "technical difficulties".
You know like when your lawyer says, "Oh don't worry about that, its technical". What he really means is that you just got boned but its not his fault, no really....

I don't know what the heck to make of it. It all happened between the 18:47 to the 19:23 time frame.

Wow, been watchin' SOHO for a long time, never seen this before. If you look at the images, it rotates exactly 360 degrees and the background sky remains the same.

The nasa program for placing solar north upwards seems to of glitched. (A person doesn't manually rotate each image... it takes the time + date and the code written for the projected/current orbital path and adjusts the image of the sun so that solar north (its north pole, Magnetics) is facing up on the image).
Think of the way the earth is tilted to the sun causing the seasons.
The sun is also tilted to us, as dictated by our orbit.
So yea.. No doom, no worries, no black hole, no vortex, no magnetic unwinding, no super nova, It's not going out, It's not doing anything out of the ordinary.
It's been there 4 billion years, we have observed it for so little time. 'Everything' is not in cycles and every so often as with anything there will be a change in the way it behaves.
Oh no its not doing exactly what it did last 'year'. If you would like to call the 11 year cycle a solar year.
Think of it as the sun's weather systems, some years we get very little, others we get a lot and more often we get an average year. (Bell curve, 85%).
You would know if the sun was acting up, Please stop worrying about a faulty image.
Did anyone bother to check other satellite or earthed images of the sun before coming to wild conclusions?
Did you look at the sun through your telescope (please for god's sake use a solar filter, If you don't know what it is, damn well look it up before pointing a telescope at the sun and placing your eye to it).
Sincerely, Dr. Quibble
