Without the endless grinding of the military industrial complex you would have nothing! America is built on war, war pays her debts and keeps her enemies in line. Get a job in a tank factory, you'll never be laid off, always busy in the munitions plants! War is Americas number 1 export. |

Besides, Dennis Kucinich supported the very thing he is complaining about when he screamed and shook in support of Obama becoming president. Quoting: Asif KWASHINGTON - November 6 - Following a statement on the Floor of the House of Representative, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement: "Why is it we have finite resources for health care but unlimited money for war? "The inequities in our economy are piling up: trillions for war, trillions for Wall Street and tens of billions for the insurance companies. Banks and other corporations are sitting on piles of cash of taxpayer's money while firing workers, cutting pay and denying small businesses money to survive. "People are losing their homes, their jobs, their health, their investments, their retirement security; yet there is unlimited money for war, Wall Street and insurance companies, but very little money for jobs on Main Street. "Unlimited money to blow up things in Iraq and Afghanistan, and relatively little money to build things in the US. "The Administration may soon bring to Congress a request for an additional $50 billion for war. I can tell you that a Democratic version of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is no more acceptable than a Republican version of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. "Trillions for war and Wall Street, billions for insurance companies... When we were promised change, we weren't thinking that we give a dollar and get back two cents." ### [link to www.commondreams.org] and what congress & president do not understand that as they spend all this money, they depend on us "tax payers" to pay it off over the years.... but if we are homeless and job less.... they can never recieve payment as they plan. Health care is "owned" by insurance companies.... |

Beyond one's own mind there is no dazzling light to come shining in from outside to wake one up. If one recognizes one's own intrinsic State as pure from the beginning and only temporarily obscured by impurities, and if one maintains the presence of this recognition without becoming distracted, then all the impurities dissolve. This is the essence of the Path-namkhai norbu. Why is there a legend about the descent of Christ into hell? The Teacher addressed the lower strata of the astral world, saying: Why, by cherishing earthly thoughts, bind oneself eternally to Earth? And many revolted in spirit and rose higher. Unfortunately, criminals tend not to obey old pieces of paper. "The trade of governing has always been monopolized by the most ignorant and the most rascally individuals of mankind." - Thomas Paine "But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain – that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist." ~ Lysander Spooner |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 813023[link to en.wikipedia.org] "To raise and support armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years;" That's why the money is appropriated (by Congress)yearly. Always with great argument. I am schooled well on the US Constitution due to my interest in the overreach of recent administrations. The Constitution is a limit of powers and has, since early in the last century, been ammended without ratification. (ie. Legistlatively & Judicially) The power is to the States and the People. But the USA left that position long ago unfortunately. Adversity is inevitable, misery is optional. Do or do not. There is no try.
