What is the best CELL PHONE service pricewise
I've got 4 phones and a wireless card thru these parasites.
The wireless was 60 bucks a month.
Last month I went into the verizon store to cancel the wireless and they charged me 100 dollars for an "early termination fee".
Fine.
I paid it. Got my bill and it's still there. They credited my account but didn't stop the wireless.
They said it will cease at the end of this month and I canceled the wireless card 12 hours too late to be on this billing cycle.
So I get to pay a full month on something I don't have because of their FU.

I'm SICK of these bastards and their moneygrubbing scum.

Any suggestions for a new service for 4 phones?

I'm SICK of Verizon too. My daughter's phone stopped working and she bought a a new one. If you don't send the old one back by mail, it's a $100 fee. What are they going to do with the old one with the scratches and all? We didn't send the old one right away and had an extra charge of $100 on the bill. We are now paying $155 for four cell phones. It's robbery!

Boost is what I have....unlimited everything for a flat-fee $50 no extra taxes. The phone selection is weak, but $50 a week is too good to pass up. I text a hundred times a day and call friends in Boston daily, and it's still only $50 a month!

I don't even have a land line anymore...

T-mobile sucks here in SoCal, lol! Their service was out for almost a week here and even when it was working, it was spotty coverage at best.

I use pageplus prepaid wireless. I put $25 on it 4 months ago and just put another $25 on it today. So that is costing my about $6.25 per month so far. It works out to 8 cents a minute.

Verizon tried to charge me even after I returned the phone to Circuit City for a full refund The Next Day (only 2 minutes of airtime). I had to call those bastards 5 times before they finally cleared my account of all billing charges. They are just like BOA!

Verizon is the "Toyota" of Cellular carriers...They have the best coverage and phone selection so they think that YOU should be privileged to be their customer, LOL. I walked into a Toyota dealership wanting to buy one of their cars and I was ignored....I asked the salesman why I wasn't getting good customer service and suggested that I could take my business elsewhere and he replied that that's okay, He'll sell a car to the next customer.....So I went to the Nissan dealership and they were happy to sell me one of their top-of-the-line trucks. Toyota lost a customer that was willing to spend 38k on their truck...but Nissan got it instead.

I emailed a letter to Toyota corporate explaining my encounter and they apologized and sent me a bunch of coupons for free oil changes and all scheduled maintenance...They said I could take my new Nissan truck in and they would do it...Apparently, it was a 'special request" service situation by the President of Toyota North America...My letter was also required to be posted on their "customer satisfaction survey Board in their showroom and service centre.

LOL!!!! SWEET!

I think you're being sarcastic...

If so, my answer is I don't know if cell towers are bad for you.

I DO know they are hideously ugly, even the fake trees
I DO know I don't like being available to everyone 24/7
I DO know it's pathetic how trained to a little screen most cell users are.
I DO think it's sad to see parents in the park with their kids watching their little screens instead of playing with their kids.

sooo,

I like having a phone with me. Have you ever tried to find a phone booth lately? And just because the phone rings, doesn't mean you have to answer it.

I use pay-as-you-go Tracfone.

Which coincidentally showed up as the ad next to your post, OP.

I'm not one of those idiots gabbing while on line in the supermarket or in the middle of Starbucks. I'm not one of those knuckleheads talking and driving.

It's only for emergencies - if I break down on the road, or if I'm trying to find a client's address.

It's not for social chit chat. I don't want that thing cooking my brain. I also don't even wear it on my body, I keep it in my zipper bag with my toothbrush and other sundries.

I have T-Mobile and their plans are pretty cheap if you're buying for a family. My biggest problem is that they charge you $q
150 to replace your phone after paying an extra fee of $10 a month. I had to replace my phone, and they sent back this patched together piece of crap replacement that broke a week later. Now I'm stuck with that unless I want to pay another $150.

Tracfone. With tax $109 PER YEAR nationwide. Uses older Android phones for about $100. Mine's been doing fine for over a year. Limited apps because of limited memory even after I put in a 32GB micro-SD. Can be slow with the apps at times but they work. For the casual/occasional user only. You can buy more data or more analog time.

I am on Verizon and pay out the ass. I know, it is stupid, but they do have the best coverage and I live in the mountains. I had two other national carriers before and ran in to to many dead spots and places where you could send and receive texts but not calls.

They are overprices and their customer service sucks, but I pay for the coverage.

Re: What is the best CELL PHONE service pricewise
kitty I think a lot depends on where you usually are. Between Las Vegas and Tonopah I gather Verizon has the best coverage, at least along Highway 95 and the rest are crappy. So if that is where you are then that's probably the one to get. If moneys short then the kids will just have to deliver newspapers or something if they want one.
