Yep there was a toddler who had a "small stroke" here on the local news today. The parents and the media were still pushing the swine jab...saying there will be "some allergic reactions". Sure...its normal for a toddler to have a small stroke...you bet ya.

Jordan McFarland, a high school athlete from Alexandria, Va., left Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children Tuesday night in a wheelchair nearly a week after developing severe headaches, muscle spasms and weakness in his legs following a swine flu shot. He will likely need the assistance of a walker for four to six weeks, plus extensive physical therapy.

Students treated after flu vaccine

A handful of Sacred Hearts Academy students were taken to Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children after receiving swine flu shots or nasal spray at the school yesterday morning, school principal Betty White said.

"One reported feeling lightheaded, one had a stomachache and one reported a rash," White said.

White said it is not clear that the symptoms reported by the students were due to a reaction from the flu inoculations.

Its incidents such as this makes me refuse to give the vaccine to my kids. Both sets of grandparents are adamantly FOR it and put pressure on me for them to take it. I can see the Thanksgiving dinner soon is going to be so joyful .... NOT! :(

Hi all...sorry to not get back sooner. I babysat my nieces younger siblings last night and didn't get back to the computer.

Well... as of this morning she was transferred to a higher level trauma center hospital last night simply because the hospital she originally was at didn't really know what to do for her and weren't equipped for any other testing. They gave her parents the option of taking her home and hoping she works through it in a couple of days (?) or taking her to the other hospital where there are neurology specialists that can examine her. Obviously, they took the safe route and she will be having an EEG today sometime. She is better, but from what I've been told here is what happened:

She received the injection at school. The life squad was already there because another student passed out after receiving it (presumably anxiety caused which is quite possible given all of the hype with the vaccine and flu). When Abby got the shot she apparently went into tachycardia (rapid heart rate) which could well have been anxiety caused also. They called her Mom (Jenny) to come and pick her up. They went home, Abby fell asleep, and while she was sleeping she was having very irratic breathing. Jenny is an RN so she knew to take Abby to the ER. When they got there Abby's legs were twitching uncontrollably and she supposedly had a seizure. (I don't know enough about all of this so bear with me!). Anyway, a CT scan was done that came back normal. They gave Abby ativan which is an anxiety med. It seemed to help but as soon as it was wearing off her legs started twitching really bad again. Then she'd be laying in the bed and her eyes would roll back in her head and her head would just slump over. They'd stroke her cheek and call her name gently and she'd startle back to alertness and then just start crying. This happened several times over. Hmmm...so anyway...I just talked to Abby's Dad a few minutes ago. He said that she's doing better, but still having the leg reactions. He said the neurologist will be seeing her today, but the Dr that saw her at this point is thinking it's anxiety. Does this make sense to anyone with more knowledge than I have?

The miscarriage thing doesn't surprise me, one of the first things a male has to do is to turn off the immune response of the female, to his sperm and his baby.

There is an enormous amount of fancy foot work that has to be done on a chemical level before the developing Zygote gets to first base. If you do anything to heighten the female's immune response, all foreign objects become vulnerable and sadly that includes baby.
