I have fasted for 3 days several times, I have fasted for
7 days on one occasion (water only).

The Lord has always blessed me with insight
and Revelation as a result of each fast.

When I fast, I dedicate my fast to The Lord.
I pray and read more than normal during fasts.

I do not reveal to anyone that I am fasting,
it is between Myself and God.

It never grows old.

Seek to be worthy of praise.
On the one hand, we're supposed to "seek after" things that are "of good report or praiseworthy" (Philippians 4:8).

On the other hand, if we "aspire to the honors of men," we're doing something wrong (D&C 121:35).

How can we seek to be praiseworthy -- without seeking praise? That sounds like a bit of a tightrope walk to me!

There is a subtle distinction that we should not miss: Paul does not tell us to seek praise, but rather to seek after things that are praiseworthy and of good report.

In other words, we emulate, not what is praised, but what should be praised; not just things that are reported, but things that are of good report. And there is no implication that we should seek to have others give good reports about us.

Oh, wait. There's Matthew 5:15-16: "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

So we are supposed to let "men" see our good works, while at the same time we do not "aspire to the honors of men."

Yet perhaps the distinction is quite simple after all. When men see our good works, it is so they will glorify God. When we aspire to the honors of men, it is so they will glorify us.

That's familiar ground, isn't it? Council in heaven, Christ's attitude versus Satan's.

But we can't control what other people think. Even if we say, "Don't praise me, praise God," that can actually come across smarmily, as if we were saying, "Whatever I do, that was really God doing it," which claims a certain chumminess with the Lord.

It's something any hypocrite can say, and most do.

I've seen writers make claims of divine guidance about the worst writing, devoid of ideas or truth or talent or skill.

When I worked as an assistant editor at the Ensign back in the 1970s, it seemed that the only submissions that the authors claimed were inspired by God were those that were hopelessly unpublishable.

And besides, right alongside "Let your light so shine before men" we have: "Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward" (Matthew 6:2).

Let's make our fine distinction even finer. The King James version was translated in an era when the distinction between "thou" and "ye" was still clear. "Thou/thee/thy" was singular, and "ye/you/your" plural.

So the Savior was telling us as a group to let our light shine before men, while as individuals we are supposed to conceal our good works: "When thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth" (Matthew 6:3).

There are some careers in which fame and success cannot be separated. If you're an actor, for instance, or a musician, or a writer, it is hard to do your work secretly -- what's the point, if there's no audience? And if you do your work well, and many people seek to enjoy it, and tell their friends, then you will be, to one degree or another, famous.

It is very easy, in such careers, to start measuring your success by the amount of fame or honors you receive.

Fame is like nicotine: Even a single dose can set up a dependency. Many begin to shape their work and their lives in order to get more and bigger hits of fame.

Speaking as one who has had a little bit of splash in a very small pond, I have seen how the hunger for awards and recognition and fame -- "the honors of men" -- sours the lives of those who can never get enough of it.

And you can never get enough of it.

Why? Because the thrill of fame lasts about 15 seconds, and then it's gone.

Or else you start to believe the praise and think you deserve it -- not your work, you -- which leads to a sense of entitlement that makes you miserable to live with.

Our job -- whether we're in a fame-inducing career or not -- is to do the best work we can, in both senses of "best": best in quality of workmanship, and best in moral value to those who receive it.

Those who do good work will usually have the respect of those who know what good work is. If you aspire to do good things and do them well, then respect will come from those whose respect is worth having. If there are large numbers of people who value your work, good for them -- but you are no better than any other person who does good, and does it well.

Fame -- being known to ever larger numbers of people, winning prizes, getting magazine and television coverage -- is not worth crossing the street for.

Because fame is the admiration or adulation that comes to you; what makes you happy is the love you give to other people.

Fame comes and goes with the whims and tastes of the public. The love you give stays given.

Well, the problem with most Christians is, one, they're afraid of Satan and his army of fallen angels and demons, and two, they don't completely grasp what Jesus has accomplished for them and what kind of power that and living a holy Spirit-filled life can accomplish.

For instance, the lady who leads this Bible study I am attending told her class the other day that the angels are more powerful than us. I said no, they aren't, because they don't have the living God abiding in their body as His temple like we do. This places us above the angels in spiritual authority because we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realm. Ephesians 2:6. She shook her head at me, cut me off, and went on to something else. This is a lady in her 60s who has been a Christian nearly all her life and is TEACHING Bible studies. How much more ignorant are those regular folks in the pews...

So bottom line, don't expect a lot of Christians to enter the realm of spiritual warfare. Those types are few and far between. But God only needs a few, like he did with Gideon's army of 300.

You know, I've never cast out a demon in real life here, but I have battled with them in the astral realm, and it's amazing to see Jesus Christ's power at work. I would love to have a ministry here on Earth doing that, traveling around casting out demons. I've told the Lord I want to do that for years, but He hasn't led me to do that as of yet. Maybe He will.

Don't let other teachings rob you of the blessing of doing what you are called to do. Forsake not his ways and forget not the Lords benefits.

Well, I fasted about three years ago for a Godly husband because I felt like the Lord was wanting me to do that. Still waiting though!

I fasted a little while ago for something personal that I can't say here that the Lord told me to do. Trust me... it's not like I get up in the morning and think to myself, gee, I want to fast, it's so much fun. It's like the last thing I want to do. But you know when the Lord is telling you to do something, He impresses it upon you, and more than likely, it is something you don't want to do at all.

But those are two examples.

I have so wanted to go into hospitals and clean them out! It hasn't been given to me to do that. Perhaps, it's been left to others, and that's OK as long as somebody gets the job done...anybody. The rejoicing would be the same.

I am not rebuked by it I must say, and The Lord not I rebuke you should you need it. The accuser often like to rear his ugly head through the flesh, and I assure you you leveled a judgment and a un truthful accusation against me, one who is in Christ so you bring both him and I to your railing. I forgive you as I believe you know not what you do.

A born again man/women can still operate in jealosuy, envy, unforgiveness, and all manner of unclean spirits. Born again people can still be oppressed and operate in anger, envy, from time to time, they overcome this and the world/devil by he who is greater inside them than he who is in the world. This is further demonstrated by Paul who says he has a thorn in his flesh, and does the things he loathes and loathes the things he does.


David having been anointed with the Holy Ghost prayed the will of god that He create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. He as well many times in the psalms pleaded to be delivered, for his soul, his body, his spirit, his heart.

Ah, you mean healing! Yes, what a blessing that would be. That's what the early church did. Now, they had power! The salt has lost its savor.

That's good, because the flesh needs to be weak for the Spirit to be strong! You need to ask God to really show you who you are in Christ Jesus and what kind of power you possess by being Spirit filled and living a life of Holiness. Don't sell short what Jesus accomplished for you, and I mean that in all love. May God richly bless your life, in Jesus name.

What complete inability to spiritually discern. Thank God Jesus Christ is my judge and He is the only one that I have to be accountible to.

First, of all, it isn't pride, but confidence knowing my place in God's will; secondly, I have been specially prepared and annointed for this kind of ministry (spiritual warfare).
And lastly, you only presume that it is hauty because of why? because of your unbelief? or is it because it isn't you that was chosen for the big job of cleaning out the Nephilim (giants).

At one time the world's most powerful witch, and high queen over all of what is known as the Illuminati, told me that there were more verses in the Bible about me, than there were of her. I was shocked by her statement, but then the Lord showed me what she was talking about.

If you hear from the Lord God at all I would highly recomend that you seek the Lord and ask Him if I am being prideful and hauty or if it is you, touching the Lord's anointed. I have suffered great torture and persecution by the hands of the world's most powerful Satanist, unless you can say the same about your life, what value does your opinion hold?


Then may the El who reveals hearts and gives wisdom freely for the asking lead me to the truth.

35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
