I will look that book up, but the fact that you used the word assimilate makes accepting kundalini energy seem equivalent to being taken into the Borg.

Also, I can most definitely "exist" in the presence of God. I do it all the time. You do too. We are not Him. What I can't figure out is why people want to allow themselves to disappear into this so called universal oneness. There is nothing we have to do to become with the universe. We already are by virtue of the fact that we are all made from the same material of this universe. We are connected to everything already on a molecular level. We all share energy and light. Is kundalini about self empowerment under the guise of fake ego annihilation? Great point. You are correct when you say that there is nothing we need to do to connect with God/Source because we never left it. The problem is ignorance of this fact and the ego's insistence that we are seperate. This false idea that we are seperate is the cause of suffering. The reason why some people are willing to give up this false notion of self is because we are tired of incarnating in the wheel of samsara.
