Ha! An old abusive boyfriend wants to be my "friend" on facebook
Oh my god. I was 16 and went out with this loser. He did drugs, got stupid tattooes, forced sex on me, cheated on me, and gave me an std. I had low self esteem at the time. Should I bother even sending a response?

Yes.

Tell him about your new millionare boyfriend who is a CEO of a multimillion dollar corporation and drives a 2009 corvette. Find pictures on the internet of 5000$ jewelry, and send it to him.

If you feel like it, otherwise no. Hey, you might be surprised. Lots of people are pretty screwed up at 16. Sounds like you were too, but in a different way. You've grown, maybe he has too.

On the other hand he could be the same exact person he was then, only with a pot belly and rotten teeth. Sometimes in life ya just gotta follow your instincts. Do what you feel is best.

Unless you want to be miserable again, don't contact him. I see old girlfriends on Facebook who did me wrong, I have no desire to contact them.

No, probably not. She probably feels good that the guy is still a loser and she herself has grown into a mature adult, and wants to share that with us.

Then I'd say don't bother. Unless you just want to tell him off, but then why bother? You've outgrown him. Just leave him in the dust. Sounds like you already have...

Thanks. I'm starting to dislike facebook though. There's no other purpose except voyerism. You add a friend you haven't seen in 15 years, and you still don't communicate. Just look at pictures.

Welcome to the austistic age.

Re: Ha! An old abusive boyfriend wants to be my "friend" on facebook
Ignore. You are married now anyway and its really not appropriate to have ex lovers on your facebook especially if they were pieces of shit.

what would be the point? By adding him, you are sending the message that he wasn't that bad to you, hence, not abusive.

You really want him to know that he's a piece of shit, ignore him. Abusive men HATE that. Did he even send a message like, "Im glad I found you, I want to apologize for what I did long ago, I sucked?" or does he just arrogantly think that you will just add him?

Pardon me for interrupting your premature celebration, but I thought it only fair to give you a sporting chance as you are new to this game.
