Message Subject Mystery of the dying budgies: Dozens of prized birds drop off their perches in front of judges during show

My 7 year old cockatiel died - one morning about a month ago, and I walked out and looked at her cage and she was on the floor. I have no idea what happened to her. As far as I know she was healthy and not sick.

I wondered at that time if there was a bird flu going around. I feed the outdoor birds daily but try to keep their water fresh and fresh bird seed. I only put out enough that they will eat in a day, so it doesn't get moist or moldy.

I love birds and am so sorry to read about the budgies. Last year I must have painted four or five budgie pictures.

Honey, I am so so very sorry about the loss of your precious cockatiel. If Summer died it would devistate our entire family, and extended family called "friends".
Please open your heart and I just know another one will fly right in.
They are like little angels that grace us with their presence.
I am going to recomend something and I hope I do not offend you. If you say a little prayer asking St Francis (patron saint of animals, see they need avocates also!) to send the "right" one into your life, he will see to it. I know this because he helped me with a problem I was having with a sassy hymalayan blue kitty named "Puffy" (he was named before we knew "she" was a "he"!!!) St Francis was very generous with his help and we were so grateful for the help. If we lived near you I'd surprise you with a baby cockatiel of your choice.
There are adoptions for these awesome birds, some survive their owners and they go to adoptions. Please take a google search for one.
Take care and have a wonderful holyday season.
Sincerely, Summer's owner, tinna
