When the body and soul are torn apart, what remains? No man lives by the air he breaths in and the air he breaths out. It is something more, the soul, that gives life.

Can you explain suffocation then? Breathing is certainly a requirement!


I think the verse is pertaining to the soul, not the body.

The topic of the thread concerns immortals among us, man is both mortal and immortal, the body is mortal in that when it dies, it turn to dust, and goes back to the earth, but where does the soul go?
