Well I have traveled and I've traveled to Muslim countries they weren't any different then other people .... World wide people are more alike than they are different.

It's not quite as common to see the severed hands of thieves nailed up in the marketplace in such places as Norway or New York City as it is in certain moslem contries.

If you didn't see them in your travels to the countries you visited, you missed a rather disconcerting moment.

How about this question,

Do we want White Europeans on this continent, do they agree with the principles of the native peoples of this continent. The white European (Christians). Killed WOMEN, CHILDREN, and the ELDERLY while the warriors where out hunting. They took the land forcing the natives from there homes. They forced there religion on the native people. If the natives did not accepted the christian ways of the Europeans they were killed or tortured by the god Europeans. Lets not forget that those wonderful Christians also used biological warfare, kindly giving native tribes small pox contaminated blankets. Talk about genocide those wonderful CHRISTIANS massacred hundreds of thousands in the name of Christ and AMERICA. We forced them to learn our language, adopted our religion, and culture. All at the point of a rifle and this was there f-ing land. Now if you want to make an argument that we fairly captured the land or that god gave it too us. Then well our time might be up and Islam might be the new white Europeans here to give us all a taste of our own medicine. How ironic that when the shoe is on the other foot and we are not the ones conquering, committing genocide, stealing land, and forcing god on the heathens we are the first to whine and cry like babies about how we are being oppressed and our way of life is being threatened. Grow a pair and learn to be an adult. I get the question Trin, and would tend to answer like you, but on another side, there are also many muslims that we never hear of and that are respectful of others' liberty and that don't seek to impose their way of life, etc. The muslims we hear of are just always the opposite, hence our opinion that they're all like that... Hell, there's a lot of other people too that think people should think and live like they do... these pretensions really aren't just muslims'.

Perhaps a better way to look at it is to understand why/how some people can impose their views on other people.

Perhaps a system that allows this is the real problem?

The question can also be asked, do we want extremism in this country? Clearly the answer is 'no,' most people do not want extremist in any form.

The difference between the US and, say Yemen, is that we live with some extremism as the price we have to pay for religious freedom and freedom of expression. Yemen on the other hand, has accepted Muslim extremism as what they want for their society. They have become like the Nazi's who collectively adopted the particular extremism of the Nazi party.

When you see hordes of Muslims demanding Sharia law in London it is no different than the Nazi's in the beer halls - extremists abound, they only capture the public's imagination and sympathy when conditions in the country are ripe for it.

Poor countries are ripe for extremism, so countries that have never adopted a western ideal of freedom of religion or expression. So what do you do about them. Normally you leave them the fuck alone to kill each other ~ sadly, the countries we are involved with have a little thing called oil and natural gas...
