In Mayan belief a serpent rope emerges from the center of the galaxy, symbolized by an 8-rayed or 8-spoked wheel. Cosmic sap oozes from this world tree or cosmic cross. Turns out that once they figured it out, it was really a new beginning, but the doomsayers were determined it would be the end of civilization as we know it. Perhaps CERN will provide us with an unexpected leg up into the next phase of existence! |
