Good thread Scrump. But to pump a little humor into this. It was a miracle that I didn't kick the crap outta my ex-wives boyfriend when she left me!

OK, OK OK. In 1973 my little brother had bone cancer. He was given a 0% chance to survive. He went through 10 months of the most horrible treatments known to man. Remember this was 1973-1974. Cancer research was not even close to what it is today.

In April of 1974, he was in horrible shape. In pain almost all the time. He was only 4 years old. I could barely get myself to go see him.

Folks, now I have tears in my eyes again. I went to a small church that was near where my brother was. It was deserted except for a cleaning person. I did the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. I got on my knees, and I asked my higher power, to come and give my brother mercy. If that meant he had to pass, so be it. He was hurting just too much.

When I got to the church a few minutes later, the charge nurse met me in tears, and said that my little brother had passed.

His body was so eaten up from the diesease, that there was no chance for recovery.

I spent the next three years questioning if I had done right. But I did get an answer. It was just a mellow feeling I had one day. I felt warm inside, and I knew then that my brother Jerry would be ok.

Without going into to much detail, I have prayed for something while talking to someone online/over the phone, and have seen things happened that I prayed for without ever voicing what I was praying about. The person told me what was happening with no knowledge of what I was doing. Prayer is a powerful tool that we don't use correctly, it can make anything happen (in His will).

Well I'm just back from work (l o o o n g day) & am reading all you guys have posted.

Thank You.

I knew that some really uplifting & cool experiences were going to be here when I got home, & you guys certainly didn't disappoint.

The point is, God is Awesome.

So many of us have been personally touched by Him... some see/feel it for what it is, some miss it completely, some have never experienced it yet.

I'm not going to reply to each post, because I'm wrecked from going 12 hrs strong today, & It'd just be a wall of my posts...

But to those who are asking why I posted this, I've thought about it in the past, but it never felt right.

It did this time, & I'm really glad I posted.

To the couple of "wow, you're special & God loves you (/sarcasm)" types... He Loves you too.

I hope you open your Heart & discover that.

To those who have posted their experiences so far...

Awesome.

Just Awesome.

Still reading them, & loving it.

To Starfleet... this ain't that kind of thread.

Sorry.

God Bless all of you.

Did this happen in Augusta, Ga? Cuz I was in one of those land cruisers once when a guy ended up under our car on his motorcycle. Scared the crap out of me, but the guy was fine, just a few scratches, the bike needed some work and we took him home. Man, that's weird.

Miracles are performed everyday. Look outside right now day and night. You will see bunch of planes spraying something on the sky. However, many people say its contrail (which is water vapor). It's a man made miracle. You see it yet they don't. Water vapor that stays in the sky for hours? Yeah right.

Another one? Here we go. We are losing jobs everywhere yet they call it recovery. Its another man made miracle. You see economy crushing yet they call it recovery and people believe that. Yeah right.

Another one? You see a peice of paper that has so much value that people kill others to obtain it. Federal reserve note. It clearly says "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." Which means as soon as you gets the note, you are in dept. People risking their lives to get more dept. Imagine that. Yeah miracle alright.

I can go on and on and on dude.

I was there once too. I don't know if God did it though.
I woke up one morning, laying in bed, suddenly I was sucked into the black void. I didn't see my body, but I felt heart beat somewhere in the distance (mine)....around me was blackness with stars. I felt like every molecule of my body was suspended in space, but I still had conscience.
I was terrified and thought that I died. I started breathing slowly and begging to get out of it. Suddenly, I was being sucked out of the void back into the room, and it was so fast that stars left streaks. I was back in the bed, and when I looked at the clock, it showed that I was in the 'void' for about 3 minutes or so.

wrong God operates in every particle of matter. To suggest you have a choice to be of God or not is ludacris. We are of God in every cell or atom that we know. Miracles are in every minute in every breath, it isnt a matter of if it happens to you or not, it is only in what your mind defines as a miracle.

If you lower your pre-programmed standards of the definition of a miracle you will see that the miracle is in the experience of life. If you are still alive you are recieving a miracle right now.

For me personally...the hubble "deep field" picture was a miracle.

For it confirmed what I knew when I got in touch with nature. The infinity of the universe astounds me. I'll never get over it. The speck of nothing dust that my body makes up on comparison to how big this expanse is and how dense the stars and galaxies are...100 billion galaxies in known universe...it finally helped me to remember the infinity of what I'm a small part of so I don't have to feel so bad being a retard. tard 5a hf

I do think everyone is living in a constant stream of miracles. Some people are aware of it and some aren't. When I was unaware of it I felt so forsaken not realizing everything that happened was tailor made lessons for me to learn. When I finally accepted this I started to be aware of the miracles. It is so freaking mind blowing amazing every day now. Doesn't matter the circumstance good or bad... it's all so rewarding. Even someone else's miracle that I get to be part of benefits me. Everything gives me new insights.

Even though it cost all you have, get wisdom.

Sometimes I'm puzzled or baffled for a while and then sure enough I get it. Never know what is coming next but I'm not afraid anymore. (Well not afraid like I used to be. I'm never alone or forsaken.)

I had a sort-of similar experience.

My Grandmother was very sick & had recieved bad news from her Doctor.

She was scheduled to return for some test results, but was so terrified & depressed that she locked herself in her Apt & wouldn't answer the phone or door for days.

We were all afraid for her, couldn't do anything to get her to communicate, & so I Prayed & asked God to remove her fear.

The next morning, my Mom called me to let me know that she & my Grandmother were headed to the Doctor.

She had forgotten the entire earlier Dr's visit, her previous fear,... all of it.

Nice thread, Scrump!

A few years ago I was getting severe migraines more often each DAY. I was really worried about it impacting my job performance. So in talking over with my chiropractor who was treating me (would be immediate relief and then come back) and I asked him if could be something else going on?

He orders CAT scan.

CAT scan comes back and shows I have 3...as in THREE..1.. 2...3 aneurysms. Next I have to go to neurologist.

The few days in between were rather life-pondering, to say the least. I prayed, my family, and church.

Next, Neurologist orders special MRI with some sorta max resolution, in order to determine best treatment or if surgery is feasible.

MRI images come back.

Neurologist is stumped, comparing first set of images with second, and shaking his head.

No aneurysms, nada, nothing!

And migraines gone!!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!

Yes, you did the right thing. When my father in law was dying, we told him that it was alright to let go, and he passed a few minutes later. Pain is awful, and from what Got promised us, heaven is wonderful.

Thank you for this thread. Refreshing after so many doomy ones.

Same kind of thing happened with my Uncle.

He was diagnosed with Cancer, & had an orange-sized tumor at the bottom of his esophagus/top of the lung area.

He was told that it (for whatever reason) was inoperable & that he was terminal.

They started chemo/radiation anyway, & his decline sped up RAPIDLY.

Multiple visits to the Dr. showed that the tumor wasn't responding to the (steadily increasing) treatment, & everyone began to prepare themselves for his imminent passing.

I've never witnessed a person that was so DEAD, but still breathing.

He was taken off of the chemo/rad, to die.

Everyone in our Family began fervent Prayer for him... of course people had been before that, but now, with no other hope, It Got Real.

Upon his next visit, the Dr's discovered that the tumor was suddenly and inexplicably GONE.

There was a very small residual mass, which disappeared in short order all by itself.

God is great.

Great thread, Scrump. Stories like yours (and some of the others) are always faith-builders.

My heart often aches for those who post their hateful, sarcastic anti-God/Jesus/Christian rants. There must've been some kind of powerful hurt they experienced at some point in their lives to project such vitriol at the One who loves them infinately more than anyone else ever could.

My hope and prayer for each of them is that they'd have an experience of God that would surpass even yours, Scrump. The love of God is the greatest healer there is.
