if im at home i tend to after unless i've been outside working, but when im out i do always.

and people who only use germ-x stuff are idiots. that stuff doesnt justify washing your hands with soap and water

Actually your wrong there OP .. hand sanitizer is more effective in neutralizing germs than handwashing.

Even "anti-bacterial" hand washes are only mildly better than water alone.

Hand gel sanitizer works much more effectively.

I heard a Dr. say that "Hand gel sanitizers" were next to useless but if it made the public feel better then he was all for it.

Interestingly enough, the Food and Drug Administration, in regards to regulations concerning proper procedures for food services, recommends that hand sanitizers not be used in place of soap and water but only as an adjunct.

Likewise, Almanza recommends that to properly sanitize the hands, soap and water should be used. A hand sanitizer can not and should not take the place of proper cleansing procedures with soap and water.
