And, I'm quite sure my 17 yr. old self would absolutely, resolutely, purposively ignore all that excellent advice.

Hindsight is always 20/20, so what mistakes would you correct by talking to your 17 yr. old self?

Any advice you'd give yourself at 17?

That was 1957 for me. Think about it, that was even before IBM (Big Blue) was a hot item, a dime WAS silver, the Bel Air, T-Bird & Nomad were the hot cars, gasoline was $0.20 per gal., Elvis Presley appears on The Ed Sullivan Show for the 3rd time, American Bandstand, A VW Bug cost under $2000, you could buy an average home for $8,500 and etc., etc, etc. That was before the Beatles, Yahoo and Microsoft to name a few

Yes, this is the advice, buy or collected it all the abovr if I had the funds along with trying to buying all of San Fernando Valley, California.

I'd tell my 17 year old self to not listen to her mother and stepfather when they advised me to become a secretary because it's a great career. They wanted me to be self sufficient (and kick in to the "family" fund) as early as possible. I'd tell myself that I could get a degree and do something I really liked instead of doing it now, in middle age (becoming an Registered Nurse). I was a good kid who obeyed my parents, I should not have listened to them.

You should always listen to good parents.

Sadly I cannot tell you to disobey bad ones, but I will say you should trust your instincts.

Re: What would you say to your 17-year-old self if you could go back in time?
After you invert (die) that's what we will all be doing. You become your conscience. But we all still don't listen do we.

In the body we are all locked in time current but have freedom to manipulate all that is in the space of our effective range. Time locked, space free.

After you invert (die) we are locked in the spacial fabric of the recording we produced while in the body, but we have freedom to hop around dwell in time within the recording. Time free, space locked.

You as your conscience IS your second chance. Listen up for cryin' out loud. It's you after you now know what's on "the other side".

Whoa, that's important!
Are you saying do everything in this life, and you will get to experience any part you choose for eternity?

If so, I'm ready to go now so I can relive August of 1985 over and over for eternity.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 791725

Be careful what you wish for. After the 100 quadrillionth time of it never changing, it will be your hell. Well, at least one of the time slots that can grasp and hold your post death dwelling spirit fast like a tar pit. It's that whole "sin" thing. (Hate using that term) Any event that will trap you in your time dwelling and holds you fast as a prisoner not permitting you to escape your soul (recording) and enter the Infinite Mind through the Door (you hopefully recorded at some point in your life) is the power of hell.

Here's some good advice.

Demons do not even have an inaccurate picture of who you are.

Don't give them one.
