Yeah they probably faked all this "pope resigned, choose a new pope" stuff, just so that they could have a conclave to discuss your calendar.

On April 1 (November 42 NJC) they will say "APRIL FOOLS!! I MEAN NOVEMBER FOOLS!! The pope didn't resign and now you all have to use this calendar Russ invented!!!"

Their top order of business should be the New Jerusalem calendar advancing the Church from 1582 AD into the 21rst century.
