Report Copyright Violation | This is stgeorge.On the jeff Rense site there is a story about upgrades on the Abrams Main Battle Tank.Forget the KISS priciple.
First,more armour for already the most armoured tank today. On the side skirts.Thought they had enough already. On the rear grate,and a shroud on the coaxial machine gun. They even added armour plates for the machine gun on top. How much weight does it add to the aleadt hefty tank? Doesnīt say. Who cares?
The "remote controlled" machine gun on top has improvements.Too complex.That is why the Marder was phased out.
A "new" shell for the 120mm gun. A cannister round to spray enemy infantrymen. Gee,thought of that the day cannon were invented.Why didnt they have one in the first place?
Arenīt the machine guns,3 of them supposed to do that? Remain buttoned up?Then why have deck mounted machine guns.To pose at? |

The problem with remote controlled weapons is that the scopes or viewers get covered in mud or moisture.You have to get out and wipe it clean,same as with any scope or periscope. |

Little window box flower gardens hanging about the tanks would be a nice touch too.  |
