Why did the astronomers in 1054 A.D. record an event as described, where our 'daylight' was affected for about 23 days and the night sky for 653 days, BUT BUT BUT why did the euro-Roman Catholic Church NOT record it as significant?



All the CHURCH recorded was a schism between EAST and WEST.
THE RC CHURCH used this EVENT to divide itself, during the 23 days this light was visible.

A schism NEVER reconciled to this day.
While the world's star gazers recorded a super nova, the church who prosecuted star gazers, managed to miss this event entirely?
