Cuz God is a myth made up by people who are afraid of the unknown (death)...
Stretching it no? Why would a people create a God they feared MORE than death itself? Even better why would these people come up with 600+ laws that they know they can't uphold only to "burn in fire" and be subject to torment even AFTER death.
