Though I hardly agree with the title, this is a great beginners book. It will teach you a lot about the 12 archetypes and the mythology behind them. Mythology is very important to understand as it reflects the nature of the human psyche. I believe they do go into transit astrology as well. You can learn a lot about the houses, aspects, and the elements. One of the best things you can do to start off is memorize all the signs, their elements, their energy (fixed, cardinal, mutable), and their ruling planets. In my opinion, Tarot transcends astrology all together and because it access the psyche directly. Tarot is founded on Astrology, so learning both will help you grasp the picture more completely. Good luck. |

I've read one book on astrology: Cosmos and Psyche by Richard Tarnas which correlates historical events and planetary transits and I was very impressed...now I want to go further so i'll check out the book you recommended. Tarot? I know nothing about Tarot! But I sure want to learn |
