I have an I.Q of 214. No one here is smart enough to ask me a question. | |
BRIEF AND TO THE POINT User ID: 381742 United States 12/14/2009 03:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Once you get 190, isn't it just pointless to tally from there? Quoting: ChawleeI partied when I hit triple digits. So, you and OP are smarter than a whole bunch of bags of hammers. Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |

Hitndahedfred User ID: 818512 United States 12/14/2009 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have an ovoid head,, real bad teeth and I rode the short bus. Do you think I care about you and your issues? Each time a person stands for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he or she sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. And crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. Few are willing to embrace the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. IMHO, a questioning mind and a desire to learn. Throw in a bit of basic math, some philosophy skills, such as deductive logic etc, and anybody is on the right track. A Huge proportion of the population is like this. |

Atheist User ID: 840766 United Kingdom 12/15/2009 08:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If somebody strives to improve themselves with education it doesnt matter what the IQ is. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 300884If you really want to learn rocket science and have the drive to learn it, you can so long as its explained in terms you can relate to. The problem is, some things are inherently really difficult, and can't be dumbed down enough for you to grasp them. These things are out of your reach. Everyone has limitations. Lots of people say this to me, i guess i must be unable to comprehend ever being in that situation. I am generally a fast learner and have never personally encountered a subject i couldn't grasp, at least so long as i could ask lots of questions. probably kind of hard to imagine being less than a 100 on an iq test when i have been 135+ since childhood, language is about the only thing i find hard. Sure i accept people who are essentially in the sub 90 iq range might not be able to get very far academically, i really dont think it makes a lick of difference after about 110. There have been a lot of very famous scientists in the 110-125 range, and there are a lot of people in the 180+ range who have for all intents and purposes done very little. Atheist |

You think? in my experience most people get bored after about 2 hours in the same class. Put me in a room with a good chemist, biologist, physicist or mathematician and i could spend 5 or 6 hours straight learning from them asking question after question. Atheist |
