Second of all, a dysfunction in the brain that makes us think differently than how people are supposed to think is indeed a disorder, I'm a 16-year-old girl who has put up with jerks like you my whole life who think it is fun to bully people that are different, and I didn't go through months of testing for some douche, who clearly doesn't know anything, to tell me that it was all for nothing and that everything that is wrong with me and everything I struggle with on a day to day basis is purely MY fault! Quoting: Papanda1995 5267376 Girlfriend...it is not about FAULT...not in real life anyway. Some of us are just different than others. Who decides what is 'the norm' and what is not? Who evaluates THEM??? Here's a clue...stay off ALL drugs...Stay away from 'shrinks'...They're not called 'shrinks' for nothing! Applies not only to your bank account but also the size of your BRAIN. It was a real treat to read all of your evidence disproving the "theory" of Aspergers. Your medical information including studies of the brain that you provided to back it up was exquisite. Oh wait you are not a neuroscientist and you never conducted any studies? You mean you are just an ignorant moron that has never achieved anything in life and holds the intellectual capacity of a substandard species? Yeah that makes more sense. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1444651 United States 02/17/2012 09:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Asperger's syndrome is an attempt by Dr. Hans Asperger to worm his way into the history books by labelling people who are simply assholes with a fake mental illness. There is absolutally no evidence whatsoever that it actually exists. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 587855 Asperger-monsters are the most self-centered, selfish pieces of shit on the planet. Devoid of empathy, social reasoning, social context, or self awareness, they are subhuman meat-calculators, who live to collect and catalogue items like barcodes and bottletops. Such losers believe that having Asperger's Syndrome excuses all forms of social retardation, attention whoring and shitty self-absorbed bullshit, while also allowing them to lay claim to its supposed symptom of "higher than average levels of intelligence". For these reasons, Asperger's has greatly outstripped ADHD as the chic diagnosis of choice for pretty much every group of fucktards on the internet. It is no wonder then that all people with Assburgers are fugly. [link to encyclopediadramatica.com] Maybe you should do a search on who has had it. Famous people. |

Duck, exactly... the people who claim that it is a disease want to give the "unruly" children an excuse for misbehaving. The don't want to correct the BAD behavior. Thus, the kids grow up thinking that they have an excuse for mis-behaving. It's a self fulfilling prophesy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 19324137 United States 07/12/2012 04:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Aspergers is bullshit. But the kids aren't always the ones who said they have it and being labeled that doesn't make them assholes. In the past, I've used the school system's bullshit to get by or let off easy. Aspergers is defined, analyzed and labeled with social characteristics that some are typical childish for kids; some are are stereotypes for "nerds," "geeks," "dorks," and "smart-asses;" some of them are based on how you get along with others and some are based on what the hell parents and teachers and damn classmates say about you. Some people know it as a disorder, some "infected" know it as a "gift," I know it as bullshit that I used to get by, get off easy and as excuse my having been a jerk to other kids. The big thing is that, even though a dictionary, or teacher or the internet may say it's a disability, that's self-contradictory regarding the statement. A disability is what you get from powerful drugs. A mental disability or disorder is when you CAN'T learn how and do academic, social and intellectual stuff other people can and you can't help it because you were born that way. And while there is no physical or mental description/function/evidence of Asperger's and it's not a "big disability," that goes two ways- someone diagnosed with Asperger's could have any REAL disorder or no disorder. The fact is, it's in the way of solving real problems and people believing you have Asperger's is a problem because their attitude and way of treating you is different. For example, if people diagnose a kid with Asperger's at a young age, when they're just a kid being kid and people see it worse than that, they'll treat the child differently and he'll grow up differently. Some of the said "symptoms of Asperger's" are getting caught up in one thing, easily distracted, not following instructions, not understanding why they have to act like anyone else, being rude and disrespectful, breaking school rules, anxiety, irritability, hyperactivity, daydreaming, being childish, doing more intellectual stuff than social stuff and overall isolation. (1) People getting caught up in one thing and getting distracted in a goddamn school, in my opinion can happen because some kids are smarter, or more mentally independent than others, or just simply have different talents or interest than others. It's unique, not necessarily autistic or anything close. (2) All kids break the rules, it's really who gets caught. That's not street-smarts bullshit, that's true. First off, the school, the rules, a lot of teachers and a lot of the kids are fucked up. Secondly, I know it's true from experience, having seen all kids break rules and I'd say most of the violations aren't caught and punished. One time, I challenged one of my teachers to tell my of one kid that never got in trouble and the kids she pointed to a some kids I had seen break rules that she hadn't and that had gotten ME in trouble. And after you get caught, it's the ones that argue that are suspected of having a disorder. (3) Things that are between two people have two sides as do things between many people have many sides. You can't judge a person just for getting in trouble or just for being in a fight or just for breaking rules. (4) Different people are irritable to different things. (5) People who are isolated are often misunderstood. Isolation, behavior problems, social problems, anger, depression, secrets, all of that goes hand in hand. It's common problems people suffer from. (6) Asperger's is a label for kids who see things differently, tell it like it is or aren't "politically correct," or don't think like their parents or the school wants them to think. These kids sometimes say things people don't want them to, like this fucking post. |

Give an ADHD child legos (or anything else) and he will be bored by it within 5 minutes. Give an aspie child legos (or something else he has interest in) and you have to drag him to the table to eat .. 10 hours later. The ADHD child will be annoying at school and miss what he should learn by being loud, the class clown ... The aspie child will miss the lessons too, he will be to busy drawing cars, animals or sic-fi spaceships into his books to listen to the teacher. |
