I noticed years ago (late nineties?) that all music was starting to sound the same. It didn't matter if it was rock, pop, country, etc. It all sounded the same to me. I guess this is why. How funny... |

I mean there is music that can expand your mind? Such as Mozart, we ofter hear about positive effects from his music, of course at this point I can barely stand him LOL. maybe because I mostly listen to repetitive rap/electronic machine based music. |

Quoting: GarphooMost real music DOES expand your mind. There's a lot of electronic music out there that is completely genius. Some of the most rhythmically complex, original music I've ever heard was sequenced and produced using computers. There is extremely progressive Hip-hop, turntablism, breakbeats, dubstep, and electronica out there if you're willing to look in the right places. And before anyone jumps on my back thinking it's ironic I mention hip-hop as good music, bear in mind I'm a multi-talented musician - guitar being the instrument at which I'm most proficient at playing, having had 12 years experience. If you doubt electronic music can be good, just check out this guy: The storm is closing in to begin again from the beginning. Never sitting through my waking life oblivious.
