I'd be worried about how much it weighs, because it's not worth very much anymore.

Thanks for coming back as you count it, you made us all curious how much it is.

You might inspire someone to save that way for a trip or something.

Wells Fargo will supply you with sealed heavy plastic sacks, and you can "dump" the change into several of them. They send it down to their branches with counters and they count it for you and then credit your account. No charge for the counting! Cheaper than coin star. I had a large 20 gallon aquarium filled with change and was stunned to find I had almost 8000 in there once it was counted. Moving it was a hassle and I had to hire kids to transport it from the house to the car. We literally shoveled it out of the aquarium and into the plastic bags and then put them on dolly's to take them down to the car. It took several trips to load it all and then two trips to transport it to WFB! But believe me, when I saw that $8190.xx deposit I almost choked! Had NO IDEA there was that much in the thing!

Nothing, its mostly junk metal backed by the lies of an illegal cartel of bankers AKA the Federal Reserve. No they are not part of the Federal Government!
You may be able to cash it in for some Silver but I think its mostly gone now.

I had a gallon bottle once filled and it was around 200, so I'd say around a grand.

The amount is up to $2049. I would say there is about $1000 left.

That's amazing. And it seems to me someone guessed that amount pretty accurately early in the thread?

I forget if you said how long it took you to fill that five gallon bucket.

I ought to get started filling up one of those myself :-)

I think it took about 8 years, not really sure though.

It is better not to let it accumulate. I had a lot stolen about 15 years ago and it does not make any money sitting in a bucket.

I was thinking it would be hard to steal because it is so heavy. Sorry that happened to you. Glad you are taking care of this load! do you have specific plans for how you want to spend it?

Hasn't been very many pennies so far. A full coffee can ranges between $260 to $400.

9teen SILVER COINS I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this yet, but check your coins for silver ones.

Pre 19?? You will need to Google it.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God.
Jer 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman].
STOCK UP NOW. You should have at least 6 months worth of basics for every member of your household. Stay away from crowds when trouble starts, do not forget water storage, tobacco is worth more than gold or silver, and be kind to hungry children.

There are a few select coins even in the mid 1900's that would be worth giving the rest of the change to the neighbor. But most regular silver coins are only good for melt value. Which means unless you have alot of them they are just face value efficient.

bust out all the pre 1965 quarters, dimes, fifty cent pieces.. bust out all the 1942-1945 nickeles with mint mark above building.

take out all the pennys 1981 and before.. put them all aside and you got much much much more money! all the 1981 pennies and before are copper and worth twice as much - melt value.. save them.. you are gonna need them soon!
