The rest of the math is beyond me. It seems to me, to answer this question, is highly speculative because the writer does not mention the mix of coins and we have no idea how loosely or tightly packed they are or how orderly arranged. One would have to account no only for the space in pail being occupied by the coins, but, also, the space not occupied by the coins. My guess is: that you probably have about 800-900 dollars there. If you want to cash it out, find a bank that has a coin counting machine and take them in and open an account using the coins. When they are counted, close the account at earliest time, without incurring an early closing fee. I have done this before. |

I can't tell you if I'm "D" without knowing who you are. How about this question. How long has it been since you slept with "D"? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 845865A few nights ago. I'm not in the mood for pussyfooting around OP. Tell me straight up yes or no. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 782016More than that if it's an even mix of change. I had a water jug (you know the kind that goes on top of the cooler at work), and it was only a little more than a third full and I pulled $2700 out of it. A five gallon bucket full, $7000 - $10,000 easy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 715509 United States 12/21/2009 11:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I took some change in recently, a small coffee can, half full, mostly nickels and dimes. Total = $44. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 815166You have............. $3333.33 Had a pringles can full of change, no metal dollars or half dollars, but all the others, had around $70 in it. The actual amount will vary depenind of course on just which type of coin it is. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 676821 United States 12/21/2009 11:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I cashed in a 5 gallon cast iron milk can a few years ago and it had $3,256.19... It was about 3/4 of the way full of mixed change. I have 5 more cans full and one that is 1/2 full now - It's my version of emergency savings... and people think these are just for decoration in my family room - lol (they're literally holding coin...) Good Luck OP - it's usually more than you think... it's a pleasant surprise~! Make sure you go through them before you cash them in and take out all of the valuable coins, like silver nickels & copper pnnies and anything with an indian head. Also, take out any coins that are double stamped (2 heads, or 2 tails) and any old coins... you'll be surprised at how many collector coins you'll end up with... |

If you were an ex of mine, I always like to remain friends with my ex's and treat them with respect. No matter how or why things ended. If I date a woman there is something there, things don't always work out though. |

Remaining friends is only a viable option if there are no romantic feelings left in either of them, otherwise it leads to heartbreak. A clean cut is necessary in that case. Anonymous Coward User ID: 846274 United States 12/21/2009 11:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had a 12 ounce cup (volume) of mixed coins. It was worth about $20. It was probably light on quarters because I'd frequently "rob" them from the stash. Five gallons of coins would be 640 ounces. Divide that by 12 and you get about 54 times the $20, which comes to somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,080. With more quarters, the value could be much higher since your ratio to pennies and nickels would be much higher. BTW, quarters and dime are equal in terms of value vs. their volume. IOW, 2.5 dimes takes up the same space as one quarter. At least I read that in a book, so it's probably true. |

I take the latter to mean they can't remain friends. Women I breakup have a problem being friends but yet if a woman breaks up with me, I never have a problem being friends with her. Why is that? |
