The republicans were instrumental in setting up this entire "health care" industry with Gingrich playing mediator in the 90s between a couple of large medical institutions and big banks.

Look into the history of Gingrich's meetings to see how he smoothed the way for big banks to provide acquisition loans so that a couple of huge medical conglomerates could be formed. These conglomerates are the ones who will be the government end of this bill - handling billing, payments, and administration. You think this was all accident?

Democrats and republicans BOTH are responsible for this scheme and anyone who thinks otherwise simply has not been paying attention to how this structure came into being. BIG MONEY is in this and both sides are passing this legislation as fast as they can.
