Amazing they were able to do a complete inventory so fast to know nothing was taken. Also suprising everyone had with them and left enough cash to cover what they took. Hmm. Well it could happen I suppose. Last Edited by Storm* on 12/28/2009 04:20 PM |

If there happened to be any trouble-makers in the area, everyone knew who they were and watched out for them. People knew their neighbors and helped each other. I miss those days. |

We have an antique store that has books and things left all the time out front with a jar for leaving money if you buy a book or something. And there is a bait shop that has a box, you take the bait and leave the money. There are a few other places also. Other then teenagers doing their usual stuff, we have a very low crime rate. We don't even have a police dept. we're just covered by the county sheriff dept. |

Quoting: dookie stain 811072i live in a town with about the same size population. we have never locked the house doors and always leave our keys in the cars. when family visit they think we are nuts but its just life here. that being said i'm not sure the local store would go untouched if it was left unlocked. i'd like to beleive so but with the high school kids i can't see it happening Last Edited by Aileana on 12/29/2009 04:05 PM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 773494 United States 12/29/2009 10:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | whats the racial demographics of that town? I'd say 99% white Quoting: Anonymous Coward 852436you don't see anyone else doing that but white people Sad to think that way...but probably true nontheless. I know my little town was white. In fact, I didn't see a black person until I was in junior high! We had a few Mexicans in the town north of us because of the egg plant and a couple of men were married to Chinese women, but it was 99% white. |

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think. Adolf Hitler When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny. That is not to say we d not have crime, but the OP's post is something that we would not hear about but I am sure happens all the time. The fact that it was in cali is amazing. I have a bike that I use to go to the store etc and I do not use a bike lock. A friend and I the other day went to a public market to get some take out. He decided that he wanted to eat in the food fair, so we ate. When we came back the my bike (unlocked) was still there in the bike rack. I live by faith and not by sight. You do not always get exactly what you want but all you needs will be met. My friend turned to me and said I need to learn that spell (safe keeping of the things I in the flesh leave unattended) and I told him no spell just live by faith and in the spirit know that it is kept for thee :-) Last Edited by II-Neutron on 12/29/2009 11:32 PM [email protected] By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
