For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." How many Christians find the narrow gate if they do not seek within for the Kingdom of God? How many go through the eye of the needle? Christians do not follow the most important teaching of Jesus as such they do not follow him. Lotus Odd, fits into my own mantra of learn, know and understand. And no one who holds beliefs can ever truly learn, know or understand anything, unless they stop believing. Coincidentally my birthday is 7/7. Religious zombies do not seek because they think they know, yet they do not. They believe they know everything, so how can they possibly learn? If they believe they know and understand god, when they do not, how could they ever learn about god? Insanity and self imposed virtual realities run rampant in your minds. |

When I was working with poor families the Salvation Army called them "Lost Souls" and they believed that they could not be found. Well God found them and sent his blessed one to show them the way to find the Kingdom of God within. Now they are a light unto themselves and share their light with others in the community. There is a big story about the spiritual concept of "Lost Souls" and I haven't met an orthodox Christian yet that truly understood it or redemption. Lotus I see that differently, I see it as what I have been saying the past few weeks. Xtianity is still in the womb because if it was truly born no one would ever understand because there is nothing to learn! Memorizing some lines from a book is not true learning. Learning is a process of storing that information in a meaningful way to YOU as knowledge. Which then leads to understanding. If you build your view of the world around a shaky foundation like beliefs, unprovable and false, it will crumble eventually. So better to start with a solid foundation. Nothing is more solid then experience and knowledge. Organized religion is not the way to god. |
