Thanks 230. That particular show had nice sound quality. The Duke University show has pretty good quality as well. I have heard this referred to as soundboard quality.....but am no expert.

Have a nice week. Stay warm.

Excellent bump.

I always wondered about this version of Stagger Lee, it's not like any other I've heard. Is it by Hunter/Garcia or more traditional? Anyone?

Don't know if it's the same image, but Mouse once painted a very groovy, little tiny psychedelic skull and roses in a corner of the Psychedelic Solution art gallery in NYC. It was painted on the baseboard, in a corner.... you'd never know it was there. It was like a little mousehole in the wall.

Unfortunately, the proprietors of P.S. didn't think it was as great as I did, and they eventually painted over it. I always thought it deserved to have a little shrine built around it, or something, to preserve it for posterity.

696: Thanks for the long version of that tune. Do you know when and where it was recorded?

378: Agreed I love the way it was done......laid back, but very haunting. It really sticks with me... and I have watched it several times.
