The Hum (Taos Hum)
Most commonly described as a distant, idling diesel engine sound which starts in the early hours of the morning and continues until dawn.

I've heard it for the last 10-ish years but as I play guitar & have worked in some very noisy environments, assumed it to be something like tinitus.

Last night, my GF said she could hear it too and it kept her awake most of the night.

Can anyone else hear it/speculate as to what might be the cause?

Yes we've heard it for years!...all over the place! we are musicians too BTW.
Many have complained of it.
You have to zone it out and try not to focus on it.
Haven't got a clue what it is.

Yeah it doesn't seem to matter where I go, I hear it almost everywhere.

You have to zone it out and try not to focus on it.

Oh yeah, I've lived in that area and it's real alright.

I suspect that place is littered with Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs) as Phil Schneider reported.

I was always seeing bright flashes in the sky and other suspicious activity. The newspaper always had reports of cattle mutilations, too.

No doubt in my mind after living there for 9 months that Northern New Mexico is a hub of clandestine activity. Very powerful spiritual energy there, too.

Mining or tunneling did cross my mind but there's nothing like that going on here now (officially anyways)

Re: The Hum (Taos Hum)
I forgot about it cause I tuned it out but tonight it sounds more like a military train with loads and loads of hardware....

I have a schematic that I found to build an apparatus that would tell me if it is EMF or not.

I've been all over the country and hear the same noise at differing volume levels but always the same sound and it is not tinnitus.

Damn moles can't get rid of them! But I starting to think it might have something to do with blood and iron and magnetosphere and blood pressure, or maybe just them pesky moles!

Gotta stop drinking grandpas apple juice!

Anybody else hear it real loud?

The famous Taos Hum is actually the sound of an ancient Stargate which was buried and hidden by one of the Elder Races in the area around Taos, New Mexico. Stargates are highly radioactive when they are activated so to protect the Humani from radiation, the Elder Races buried the only last known functioning Stargate on planet Earth underneath thousands of feet of Earth matter to keep it away from the hands of any Humani.

Re: The Hum (Taos Hum)
I live in SE N.B. Canada and have been hearing a low frequency hum in my home for a couple of years now. When I'm aware of it, it's continuous in frequency (which sounds like around 60Hz) but does seem to vary in amplitude (intensity) randomly. I can nearly feel the vibrations. I am an electronics tech and a mechanic and when I describe it as sounding like 60Hz, it's because it's very much the same sound I've often heard over the years coming from electronic equipment. I've tried powering off everything in the house and turning off the main breaker with no effect. I live in the country and have often also wondered if it's a distant constantly running diesel engine, such as what a modern forestry processor uses with it's system (there's occasional forestry operations around here)....I doubt this is it despite the very real like sound because the hum is usually about the same level; inconsistent with a machine changing locations. I hear it more or mostly during the morning hours but have heard it at other times as well.

Seems others report hearing this as well. Sure wish I could pin it down. I've wondered if it's a form of tinnitus, though people I've talked to with this diagnosed tell me it's a high pitch white-noise sound.

Re: The Hum (Taos Hum)
AC,

I live in Detroit...and we've had issues with this diesel-engine hum for some time. In certain areas, it is amplified greatly...like our neighbors to the south in Windsor, Ontario.

It is in the news here.

We have a few threads going on it here, and I've one on my local board.

Thread: STRANGE NOISE in Windsor, Canada makes MSM News! (Page 4)

Thread: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund (Page 16)

A measurement I made one morning...(scroll down to almost the end of the page to the picture of the black box with LEDs)

And what I truly think it is related to...

Re: The Hum (Taos Hum)
Oddly enough, I now live a mile or so from where that last story was based...and went over to check it out.

So far, everything is true about that story. I've yet to go down the manhole in the backyard, if there is one, but information about the demolished home is spot-on.

Sincerely,
John
