..., and claim to have "different interests" from humanity at large, in some instances claiming to be above traditional human morality. The Ludens routinely conduct experiments on humans and alter their minds in order to further their own means, but according to Daniel Logovenko in "The Time Wanderers", over ninety percent of Ludens have no interest in humanity.

i am so surprised at all of the people saying similar things
occuring to them.

is this thread going to be pinned?

i really thought only a few people would respond.

Kinda freaky for me, as well.

mid-seventies, SRAs...

Some special testing...

Folks told me I got the Highest score out of the whole school on some test; that's all I remember them telling me... (found out, years later, in a biography read to me by a public defender when I had done some stupid shit, that my I.Q. was 147... Don't recall the testing, assumed it may have come from MEPPS testing when I was 16 getting ready to go early into the Air Force)...

Can't remember childhood that well... (only the toys, not family, friends or people, and the toys were mostly 3D puzzle games...

Obsessive about researching topics that pique my interest...

Have some old friends, but that familiar to this thread distance - once a year an email, if that... Have lost many friends due to my tendancy to fall off the face of the Earth...

Just turned 40 and obsessed with conspiracy theories, masonic good/bad, EBEs, Mind Control, and etc., ...

So,
Yes,
Yes,
Yes,
Yes,
and
Yes...

To any similarities in my life to that of other posters... Very memory triggering, this post...

I think (hope) that is a good thing... Triggers aren't usually advertised as "good things"... When one mentions possible mind control talk...

Here are some things that also played a part just prior to being identified for these programs. Before standardized tests, these requirements were more heavily relied upon:

Art

1. Self portrait. You were required to complete a self portrait of yourself by looking in a small mirror and drawing what you saw. This was often the ONLY test that was needed to determine whether a child would further testing in a private art museum.

I remember this. I can still see the protrait I drew in my mind.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 764206

This test got me screened by the psych drs....The did this in kindergarten, but it was time and resource constrained. All the other kids were grabbing reds and blues and yellows the teachers were like hurry up, hurry up....so I used the only color left. Black. Black me, black ground, black sun, black clouds. Turned in the assignment on time.

I remember one wierd meeting with a really intense woman about this, and I was like, well, put more paint out next time. Last time I saw her.

Re: Were You Part Of The "Mentally Gifted Minds" Program In California Scools back in the 70's?
I was in a special program where I got pulled out of regular classes and was given tests and projects to work on. I was taken to another school once a week to interact with other kids who were also part of this program.

I remember one day the program teachers put us all in a circle and told us we were going to do a special exercise. They told us to imagine that the world as we knew it was about to end, but didn't specify how, and there would be a survival group of 11 who would be selected out of the population who would be put in a special shelter with supplies to ensure they survived to repopulate the world after this non-specific catastrophe was over. We were given a list of different profiles of people from different demographics, with different skill sets, and we had to debate which of the 40 or so would make the final cut of 11 to go into the survival shelter. Our group quickly narrowed down the list to 20, focusing on saving those with profiles indicating they were still of fertile child-bearing age and had skills/knowledge that would be of most use to the survival group in rebuilding. When we got the list down to 15 profiles, the teachers picked 15 in the group to pretend to be one of the 15 profiles in order to argue the case for picking them to make the final cut of 11. One of the profiles was a healthy 30 year old male who had extensive knowledge in botany who was also a minister. One of the other profiles also had knowledge in botany. I wasn't from a religious household, so I didn't see the need for keeping the minister. I had all but convinced the entire group to vote to exclude the young botanist minister. The kid arguing the case for the minister was called out of the room, and a teacher asked me to take over arguing the case for the minister to be selected. I managed to change everyone's mind again and the minister made the final cut. True story.

Re: Were You Part Of The "Mentally Gifted Minds" Program In California Scools back in the 70's?
I was identified as gifted but earlier and in Georgia. I got a different lesson plan and also got assigned to "help" students having trouble in some areas.

Later, all my children were in a more structured gifted program involving being bussed to a central location where all the "gifteds" were assembled and taught one whole day a week.

I believe it stopped at junior high grades, here 7-9.

Didn't read all the pages of this thread. Anything I should know?

Well, I called my school district to see about getting my elementary school records. Left a v/m with the dept. that handles that type of request. We'll see what happens.

I will be VERY interested to see what documentation there is on my participation for those three years in the program and what tests they have records of.

I only have records of the standardized test scores. I was not able to find the results of the other testing that was conducted.

There were seldom any physical records kept. I would venture to say that few, if any, of you remember any records being made when we were fully separated from our base schools. We were simply observed in our state of play.

Re: Were You Part Of The "Mentally Gifted Minds" Program In California Scools back in the 70's?
My daugther is in GT, gifted and talented, im proud of her because we (her parents) are from Mexico, we speak like 40-50% english, i thought that school for her was going to be hard because spanish was her first language, but it is 4 years of her being the top of her class, is funny this thread, a coincidence perhaps, today I receive a letter of the DUKE TIP, a program of DUKE University, to enroll our childm does anybody know something about that program?

I don't know about that program specifically, but traditionally Duke University has been highly involved in psychic research programs.

This is just the tip of the Duke iceburg:

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

"Joseph Banks Rhine (September 29, 1895 – February 20, 1980) (usually known as J. B. Rhine) was a botanist who later developed an interest in parapsychology and psychology. Through the parapsychology lab at Duke he also lectured on mainstream psychological topics.[citation needed] Rhine founded the parapsychology lab at Duke University, the Journal of Parapsychology, and the Foundation for Research on the Nature of Man. He also initiated the Parapsychological Association. He coined the term ESP.

Actually right know in my daugther GT class, they are talking about enigmas, Pyramids, Loch ness etc king of pretty weird...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 458781

Many states belong to the Duke Talent Search program (other universities work with Duke on this as well). They basically take the gifted kids and have them take the SAT (or ACT) when they are in 7th grade and follow them through the rest of their school years, offering various programs and camps for them to attend. They are allowed to take the SAT/ACT whenever they want (although we only did it once because all of the high school kids looked at my son like a freak). There is an awards ceremony for the kids who score well on the SAT/ACT and those kids are given medals. With my son (we lived in Kansas as the time) he also got some state recognition and short internship at the governor's office and things such as that. It's kind of a dog and pony show, but harmless.

Yes, we were bussed to schools outside of our own district. We were given many different types of puzzles. After a while they would stop giving us a variety of puzzles and have us focus on one type. My specialty was determined to be elimination logic puzzles.

We were a very small group of children, less than 10 in all. From the entire area.

These tests continued for perhaps two or three quarters. It was a search that was conducted by Ludens. Ludens children were placed amongst other children for this purpose.

It is from this book first published in 1985:

[link to www.amazon.com]

Maybe the cover will bring back memories of it.

I didn't remember the book until I read the first page and saw other illustrations; but, yes, I remember this from 3rd grade.

I keep going over and over about Ludens; that is sort of eery; I remember loving Ludens cough drops and would beg my parents to buy them for me. I liked the cherry ones the best, did not like the honey ones.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 656642

I have a box of Ludens cough drops (cherry) on my kitchen counter as we speak.

In the 70's they were the only cough drops I'd use. I still prefer them when I'm fighting a cough (as I am now) and found some at an out of the way drugstore just a few months ago, bought them and put them in the pantry. So here I am trying not to be creeped out by Luden's cough drops. LOL

These programs were diet MK Ultra.

What is your name?
Where are you from?
Why are you asking?

You are partially right. However, the purpose of MK Ultra was to make drones that would do the Ludens bidding. The drones can be of any intelligence level. The purpose of these tests was to identify those that already possessed certain mental abilities. They were looking specifically for those with predefined inherited traits.
