Forethought means eyes in the backing of the head. Coming and going. Back to me now. Anyway. I think all the testing for peripheral vision, linguistics, code, testing for sound/eye flash coordination, which ear perceived the light flash at the peripheral first or fastest, stuff like that was going down at that time period. That would have been around 1977. They were testing some of us for computer programing. Program development. Intuitive language computer programming. Take a bite out of that apple.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22315188

Peripheral vision, think of how your eyes move when you're searching your inner memory banks for the information you seek. Do you look from side to side into your peripheral? (I do, that's why I ask.) Linguistics, ability to break down a word to it's base definition, language non-withstanding, find true meanings via context based on all available definitions and further break it down via etymology. Code, ability to write and run your own inner programs by understanding how your mind alone works and meta programming it accordingly, rooting out negative and harmful scripts and rewrite/replace them with your own core programming. Maybe they weren't just testing for programmers, but for those who were programmable and for those that functioned "like" computers.
 Quoting: Bea Nameless

Most of that rings a bell. I process through intuitive side fist. Cock my head even to the right. On Que. At times when I sense something. Perceive something missing. Filter then, I suspect, counter clockwise through left brain quickly to perceive what is behind the scenes. It is like I can hear the unspoken. The language that is missing from something that would make it make more logical sense.

You guys are kind of touching on something that a friend of mine from the program (not on this thread) and I were discussing the other day. We were comparing similarities in how we process information and, in some cases, act on it. I've always compared my brain to being like a computer. I don't see things in a 1 or 0 way--not at all. I truly have no opinions and would be hard pressed to be able to give one. I'd write a book on the subject if pressed. It's just like taking data in, then sorting it all--almost like when you first open the box of a puzzle. Actually, it's very much like that. Sort the data to find the frame, find how things connect.

It's why I don't think we're any kind of manchurian candidate, mkultra knockoff. What's stuffed into our heads and what makes us tick is a whole lot of information, learning. (Reading books by their cover? On some Manchurian candidates? Yes.) Actually I think that is what landed me in the gifted programs at a young age. I actually did read books by there covers and write the reports. Think something like that happened in third grade and I was so called ‘gifted’ thereafter.

The OP did say that they were in the program themselves. They identify themselves as the OP later in the thread but I think within the first 50 pages.

Ok, so don't think for yourself. Don't examine why you fly off the handle every time someone looks at you funny, says something that flys over your head or you misunderstand non-linear sentence syntax. I learn something from everyone, even you. I'm not aggrandizing a thing, I am what I am, you have a problem with it, it's your perception thus absolutely none of my business as I lack emotion towards you. And I'll take narcissistic for the win, Alex... I'll own it, I am. So what? How on earth does it affect you? I'm self centered in that I'm interested in things that directly affect me and learning about others by learning more about myself. But I'm not narcissistic all the time, we all have our moments, everyone. I think you're getting your panties in a bunch because you lack the ability to shame me. The Can't Shame Bea club is a huge club since the only person I allow to shame me is myself.
 Quoting: Bea Nameless

there ya go assuming i dont teach myself and rushing your little typing fingers
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22494589

Lol, you're hilarious. And I'm not fighting with you. I'm expressing my opinion of myself via your prompts, thank you for that. But really, it has nothing to do with you at all... except I do own I enjoy getting you all flustered. You're SO easy. It's me being myself and expressing myself without one whit of concern for who sees it. I do it all for Bea. I don't want into your head, don't want into anyone's head but my own. But it is interesting to see how you react to action without thinking it through. Maybe that's why I made the assumption. Again, only my subjective perception. Maybe you're calm, cool and think things through when I'm not looking?
 Quoting: Bea Nameless

there you go assuming again, and writing so much to say FA
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22494589

Correctly assuming is discernment, a supposition that bears fruit, one of the myriad of definitions, by the way. I was actually making a point, free exchange... Since you stuck your nose into my opinion on duality and all. I assumed the task of clarifying my thoughts on things, not for you, but for my own internal database, to flip back to when I need a little reminder. Thank you for that :)

Most every word can have a positive or negative connotation. You're the one always talking about triggers and you missed that one. Assumption can mean presumption and arrogance, taking something for granted, supposing, taking something onto yourself as in duties or a burden, supposition, discernment though perception, presumptuousness, effrontery, forwardness, gall, hypothosis, conjecture, theorize, acceptance, shouldering.

Now what does that have to do with duality? Think of the number of definitions most know and how they connote a negative concept. Then look at the word assume again and think of how having a full understanding of all definitions of the word reveal many positive concepts. We "assume" people mean things they don't when we lack understanding of their native syntax, expanse of vocabulary and connection with their personality.

We bias ourselves toward negative/positive depending on our inner perception of the speaker. We assume they mean one thing, that it's personal and we react emotionally. Some people run a subjective filter based on dominance. They must be correct or they push against another's boundaries. So the person they push against has several choices, the most typical ones being a submission script to avoid conflict or a dominance script to push back.

But there is a third choice, to look at the situation objectively and decide to not change your script to match another's. In some cases, this is negative as some situations require emotional attachment. In those cases, I find it's best to not react and counter with compassion and empathy to diffuse the situation not by submission, but with simple human kindness. IF I care about the person who's emotionally charged. In others, I find I lack the ability to find common ground, so I counter with standing my ground and refusing to shift to a predicted script. Both of these positions are calculated by assumption and discernment.

In other words, I have the ability to shift my scripting a million different ways, but dominance/submission scripts don't interest me. I stand my ground and move where I may. Why? I act, not react. I consider shades of meaning before I decide my action based on the situation. Sometimes I do nothing at all. And sometimes I use it as an opportunity to go deeper into my own inner self. Narcissistic, I know. I'm not ashamed. (Oh yeah, that Bea, what a cow, she's so into herself! Wink. Right you are. I am into myself. Why would that bother you so much that you have to mention something I freely admit to every chance I get? I'm awesome, lol.)

And I also said that all I did was look at the amnesia/dissociative aspect because what I was thinking that I was seeing was horrifying. I thought I was alone in having problems remembering. I was worried that my seeing what seemed to be a high incidence was because it fit my own situation. I can keep saying this over and over again ad nauseam but you'll still not ever actually read what I'm saying. I don't collate data, at least not intentionally. I have a wicked good memory (ironic since I couldn't remember nearly all of the first 12 years of my life). Stuff gets stored into my head even when I don't want it to be. Like I said though, you're just going to keep accusing me and you've made up your mind about me. There is nothing I can do about that.

Most of that rings a bell. I process through intuitive side fist. Cock my head even to the right. On Que. At times when I sense something. Perceive something missing. LOL. Farenheit 451...5 minutes before class, a friend asks me if I finished the homework due. I didn't even read the book yet (was reading Xanth novels instead lol). Lucky me, could be anything so I whipped out a 5 or 6 line poem about what I could glean from the cover. Got so many praises and an A+ for it by the teacher. I think it was at that moment that I realized that the world was kind of screwed up, lol.
 Quoting: ArmchairObserver

Just feel like I found one of my peeps with your poem cover homework story. Observer indeed. I had the same exact thought of the world being screwed up in my scenario too. Like assessed and processed it immediately. The macro of the situation and ability. I fear I should have kept my mouth shut with the assessment I gave to the teacher about the world being screwed up. That was probably what did me in. They can get you for ‘behavioral problems’ then. If you actually tell them what you are thinking.

P.S. And no, Aussie, I'm not collating data--I just have a really good memory where I remember just about everything--quit trying to kill the thread with animosity.
 Quoting: ArmchairObserver

3 pages ago you admitted you were.even though you gave "excuses" as to why.so stop lying.youve said you are numerous times.cause and effect remember,if you dont like the ripples, dont make the waves in the first place.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22494589

 Quoting: ArmchairObserver

you collate data.you said that numerous times.nice backpeddle though.

stfu. i really dont care what you think, you ,like many others are milking this thread to death.
youre far too stupid for me to even bother explaining jack too, all youd do is argue against it for your own purpose.
In case you misunderstood my purpose has not changed, nor my views, you just dont get it or you do but have an agenda.
still collecting data without consent from the posters in this thread?

and G...yes most likely but its hard to get the timing right
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22348482

Wow, lol, don't hold back there, Aussie. Sorry if I hit a nerve or a dozen. Actually, the data that you say I collected from posters was purely anonymous, no nicknames and nothing that would personally identify them. The sole purpose was, as I've stated half a dozen times, was to get an actual number to what I was thinking that I was seeing. The amnesia aspect didn't look good but I wasn't sure if it was just due to my own situation with mass amnesia that I was specifically noting amnesia in a form of bias. I can repeat that over and over again but you're going to be totally unconvinced.

I'm not data mining the thread. I'm just another person who was messed up by somebody in something a long time ago. I'm looking for answers and when I hit something that I find interesting, I share it to get feedback. I want answers. So you're right, I do have an agenda and it's the same one as every other person on this thread--answers. What about you? What's your agenda because you obviously have had one for the last two years? You're the one that has been peppering out the cryptic phrases, trying to string people along. At least I explain what I'm thinking or the idea in my head.

Whatever is bothering you today to make you lash out so much at a perfect stranger, I hope it's better for you tomorrow.
 Quoting: ArmchairObserver

purely anonymous, no nicknames nothing identifiable...but no consent either"but your one(in the prog-so that makes it ok-right lol)...and you lie saying youve a good memeory because right there you admit you did but gave all sorts of reasons/excuses why its ok.cause/effect

 Quoting: Bea Nameless

who said im not cool and calm? and why would i do what you suggest anyway? controlfreak much Bea?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22494589

Not at all, I filter my perception via observation. I can only control me, I can't control you. Why on earth would I want to? I have no wish to dominate or submit to anyone, including you. What I see when I read your posts as someone who's rushed, hurried, emotional and not very articulate, quick to anger, quick to ascribe motivations to others that aren't there, lacking in communication skills and careless with words and meanings of words. That's MY personal perception. It has nothing to do with what you are, it's simply how I see you subjectively. Your opinion of me lacks the emotional attachment to influence me into your communication script. But I am using you to practice my zen in the face of a combative aggressive bully who wants to attack me personally rather than give a rational reason for all their bluster. I see you as not cool or calm because you attempt to push others to your viewpoint by using the tactics of a bully. Whether that's objective truth or not doesn't matter, it's simply MY perception based on the information available to me at this moment.

I don't see you pushing buttons at all. I see no attempts to fix the underlying issue, but sheer avoidance of it like if we don't talk about it, it will somehow go away. I see you attempting to deflect conversation that EDUCATES others concerning triggers. If we understand how they work, we can avoid buying into illusions and communicate effectively by UNDERSTANDING THE WORDS THEY USE TO MANIPULATE US. If we explore that ourselves within our safe boundaries, we can free ourselves of any underlying triggers. We regain our free will by choosing to act or not as opposed to blind kneejerk reaction.

And by the way, this is a controlled, monitored environment. We all know that. This information was available to all and we knew that the very second we posted thus consenting for what we say to be used or not. I see your attacks on AO as both petty and misguided. She revealed herself, did NOT use the data for nefarious means, gave full disclosure and opened an interesting line of debate. She wants to face the issue head on while you wish us all to just let it go. The first path is courageous and empowering, the second stinks of cowardice and fear.

Now you know the trigger. Did you know it before? Did I deceive you in any way? Nope. I showed you something. I showed you HOW others can be manipulated, broke it down and explained it to you SO IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. But what did you do? You shot the messenger instead of getting the message. You gazed at the finger pointing instead of what it was pointing to.
