It's okay. Btw, I was a really big baby--10 pounder but that's unlikely to be tied with DES (an estrogen). The reason why I'm asking is that a curious aspect of the DES exposed children is an effect on the lateralization of the brain and handedness. Basically, a possibly more flexible brain. Ironic that I would end up in a program whose focus was on left/right brain development, isn't it? I'm not sure what entirely is ticking through my head and I certainly haven't found any research on google scholar that would point to any deliberateness. However, what I did find was that, by the time I was dosed as a fetus, they had been talking for almost 10 years about congenital defects associated with the growth hormone, DES.

Other thing I noted while looking at all this stuff was a whole lot of interest in the endocrinology of the placenta, mother and fetus and experimentation with the injection of hormones. Most of the time, it involved lambs, rats and the like. Something else I stumbled across was HGH being associated with curvature of the spine and the discussion about scoliosis on this thread immediately popped into my mind.

Hence why I'm asking these questions. Hormones, prenatal injections and the like? Big babies? So far, in private query, we're 4/4 on big babies so I may be onto something here.
