Planet X turns out to be much smaller than anticipated? Well it seems so real I can see it And it seems so real I can feel it And it seems so real I can taste it And it seems so real I can hear it So why can't I touch it? So why can't I touch it? | Anonymous Coward User ID: 664728 01/12/2010 09:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Mike Rivero (who worked with NASA in the past) of whatreallyhappened.com says this: During Apollo, the Saturn third stages (the S-IVB) that propelled Apollo towards the Moon were all crashed into the lunar surface. With one exception. After separation from the CSM/LM the S-IVB for Apollo 11 went into orbit around the sun where it presumably remains. It would indeed have an orbital period of about 1 year. Including the engine, the S-IVB is 17 meters long, but given the relative darkness and narrowness of the engine mount compared to the exterior white hull, the visible dimensions would be roughly 14 meters, close to the estimated dimension of 10 meters for this object. I hope they get some good telescopes on it. I would be willing to bet a nickle this is the Apollo 11 prodigal rocket come back for a visit. |
