Funerals will be terrible as all burial spaces are rented so if they can’t afford to pay the rent on a plot the body can be chucked for another. Corpses will be left to rot in the open air to be eaten by animals. NGOs are tackling the problem but the questions remain .. why has the UN not done more to help Haiti and worked on a problem that was expected?

No one should be surprised at the devastation wrought by the Haitian earthquakes.
