Let me see...the Caribbean Region has on average of 1-3 EQ's a day. What's your point....because a 7 Mag happened all of the sudden we have the threat of a Super Volcano brewing. These are just excerpts, but wow, I've never compiled it all together before. Some of this stuff is freaky to say the least! Notice the part at the end about the Andes mountains, rivers of fire rising from the depths, melting boulders etc.

Kinda fits in with the theme of what OP is suggesting, so that's why I thought I'd add this to the discussion.

I count 38 quakes in this region TODAY.....And that is from the usgs, which often is 6 to 8 hours behind due to under staffing. Looks very intersting to say the least.
