Mike, Frank and Danielle don't deserve this treatment, neither do the people who sold their junk to them. Guess we will have to wait to see what happens. Doesn't the government get enough money, leave these people alone. Next the IRS will be coming after us for yard sale taxes due to them. IRS going after Junk collectors from History Network
Washington(API)- Obama administration officials with the IRS have confirmed the Internal Revenue Service has a lawsuit pending, for failure to pay taxes and provide IRS Form 1099 for payment to persons who they purchased items from on their television show "American Pickers". Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz from the "American Pickers" television series could not comment, while litigations are underway. When contacted from the Washington Post, General Electric, who owns the History Television Network provided the following statement. " General Electric and its subsidiaries are currently in discussions to resolve this issue to the benefit of all concerned parties"
Also named in the lawsuit were Mike Wolfe's business www.antiquearcheology.com, Frank Fritz's www.frankfritzfinds.com, and their female costar Danielle Cushman. Ms. Cushman has been charged with accessory to tax evasion, falsifying receipts and money laundering. The people who sold items are also under investigation for failure to report income over $500,00.

I can NOT believe that the HISTORY channel would show such a disgrace to our older generation. TO think for one minute this would somehow be cleared to air is appalling. To brag or somehow boast about an unsolicited visit to Leland's farm and the price paid versus the actual value should be illegal. If this would have been my granddad I would have felt robbed of my family heirloom and treasures. The History Channel should immediately cancel this show!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were so looking forward to a new show that was really about hidden treasures in American not thievery we couldn't even finish the show.

These guys are scum bags !!!!! Nice job History Channel way to promote thieves . I would love to meet these guys face to face , and work a deal out with them. If you know what I mean ! And my parents always told me crime doesn't pay, unless you make a show for the History Channel .Way to teach kids its ok to steal from the older generation. Wow, I dodn't even know where to start. I can see that the majority of people posting here have way too much time on their hands, have never seen the show, have never been to a garage or estate sale, can't grasp the concept of buying and selling, aren't that sharp and are so miserable that they have to piss and moan about everything.

If anyone has watched this, in my opinion, spectacular program, they would see that the guys are doing what many of us do every summer...check out other peoples junk. The big difference is that they are finding things to turn around to collectors and auctions.

Many times the profit they make on pieces are really not that great. Also, a great number of things they pick are pretty much worthless to 90% of the people on the planet. For example; an old rusted out bike frame is worth nothing, unless someone happens to collect them...in that case it has value to them and no one else and they are willig to pay for it.
Many of the people they buy from are tickled pink to meet others that appreciate what they collect and are more than happy to sell or if not, they're just happy to tell the story.

Also, they find a things that haven't been seen in decades. Pieces that would be forever lost to time are brought back to life for people to enjoy and cherish.

So, I guess the bottom line is... You folks need to get your collective heads out of your collective asses and get a life.
