Magnetosphere getting pummeled

So is that why I am seeing everyone's skeletons now.

Velocity of incoming particles is also high today.

M Class Flare

Solar flares which have a particular range of energy output of X-ray radiation. An M class flare will usually produce a shortwave fadeout in the daylight hemisphere of the earth. M class flares are less intense than X class flares but more intense than C class flares.

Does it matter if you are indoors when there is a M or X Class flare?

The radiation doesn't reach the ground... It ionizes the atmosphere.

i remember the first time i came to a 'holy crap the magnetosphere is freaking out' thread, like five years ago at three in the morning and i thought we were all gonna die and i phoned my mom freaking out and she thought i was a total nutbar. LoL!

why not the magnetophere?

Seems that with all that radiation coming in, the Earth's magnetosphere is holding up just fine. May take a couple days to see anything from this, but this is the first time I've really paid attention to it, so I wouldn't no what to look for.

Weather over the US has been I guess normal, I haven't heard anything out of the ordinary. No EQs or volcanoes going off. Old faithful is still, old faithful.

It took awhile for the M and X class flares to reach us on Earth, maybe the effects from the magnetosphere have a similar delayed quality? Who knows. But, for curiosity's sake, I'll keep an eye on things the next few days, maybe I'll learn something.

I have seen it white like this before but not for this long of time. And consistently all white.

Looks like it finally calmed down.
