Only Starbucks does that to me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 769657Why? Here's a novel idea: DON'T DRINK IT. Beyond one's own mind there is no dazzling light to come shining in from outside to wake one up. If one recognizes one's own intrinsic State as pure from the beginning and only temporarily obscured by impurities, and if one maintains the presence of this recognition without becoming distracted, then all the impurities dissolve. This is the essence of the Path-namkhai norbu. Why is there a legend about the descent of Christ into hell? The Teacher addressed the lower strata of the astral world, saying: Why, by cherishing earthly thoughts, bind oneself eternally to Earth? And many revolted in spirit and rose higher. By the way I can't drink Starbucks either. No funds, for 6 bucks, for one cup of coffe. 6 bucks! that is insane! It isn't because it's strong brew, I'm used to strong. I think they must use some chemical to enhance or preserve their beans. Decaff also geves me a head ache because phlormaldahite is used to extract caffeine. My 18 year old grandson told me some time ago that he would never drink Starbucks again because it made him ill. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 343571^^this They do something to their coffee... I can taste it. I'm a super taster and there is something not right about their coffee. |

Quoting: mercury2People should answer the questions or not say anything at all... not judge people on forums and participate appropriately.. You're equally acting like a 4 year old by posting such a remark. Starbucks adds preservatives and pesticides to their beans, beside many other things to keep the coffee beans tasting the way they do.. Probably not a good thing. |

The simple fact is that Starbucks is much to busy to put the whip cream back in the fridge after every drink. Watch them next time you go in. The whip stays out on the counter all day. Should be in Ice. I'm no rocket scientist, but I know whip cream is dairy and requires refrigeration. I also understand that it is not reasonable to expect them to get it out of the fridge every 30 seconds for the next drink. It should be on ice. Try your drink without the whip, if you don't get a belly ache... Bingo! |

If you do you will see the "oil slick" floating on top. If you take a napkin and dip it into the coffee and swirl it around you will remove most of it that way and your 'tummy' should not get upset anymore. I used to get sick from drinking their coffee until I started doing that. I don't add milk at all, but if you need milk, add it after removing the floating chemical pool that rises to the top and you should not get such a bad reaction. |

Try cold brew coffee and you will find your digestive system is happier. Tesla "One person with courage is a majority." - Thomas Jefferson "You’ve heard that we are what we eat. Everytime I drink Starbucks coffee, I get upset tummy later on in the afternoon. Only Starbucks does that to me. Quoting: ºEATºWhy? SUGAR. Probably High Fructose Corn Syrup. The corn product is from GMO corn and destroys your liver, kidneys, and heart. Most definitely that. I'm corn sensitive, so whenever I consume something with corn, I get more aggressive and eaily agitated...sometimes food allergies do that and high fructose corn syrup is the worst of all corn products. I get eczema breakouts if I consume even just one soda made with this stuff. I've found that when I consume Starbucks, it gives me those reactions. I'm in Minnesota, and we have Caribou here, and I've never had those reactions. I've also had Dunn Bros and Gloria Jeans and haven't had a reaction from those places as well as a bunch of other coffee houses. My opinion is that Starbucks is probably the most overpriced coffee considering the crap products it's made from as most products made from corn are cheaper to produce which means more profit so it's no surprise why that company is doing so well. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 69105197 Belgium 05/02/2015 12:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't drink it if I can avoid it. They've only opened in Belgium fairly recently anyway. But when I used to get a Starbucks cappucino abroad fifteen-odd years ago I thought is was OK. Maybe that is their business model: try really hard and serve good quality stuff to get people hooked and then gradually reduce the quality while leaving the decor and the packaging the same. Most people won't notice or will just put up with it. Another thing that occurred to me: could they be adding flavour enhancers? I mean the dreaded MSG that is so often listed as "aroma" or "natural flavour"... |
