I have a couple of theories:

1) The water wasn't running up, but it was running down. the steam from the emerging hot water just tricked your eyes.

2) What you saw was the capillary effect, i.e., water was indeed being drawn up along the path of some sort of reside on the side of the tub. Solution: scrub it with a mildly abrasive cleaner, rinse it well, and try again.

Oh, please...don't call them!!! All they'll do is yell at the supposed "Ghost" to come out and show itself and generally provoke it with taunts.

I am a member of a paranormal investigation group. And we always start by looking at the mundane, thus my suggestions above.

Start with them. If the event occurs again, post with more details. How far did the water rise? What did it do when it reached the top of the tub? When did it start, and when did it stop?

It was an illusion. It just appeared to be traveling up when actually it was all traveling down. That can happen, because you have to discern and know that it can not happen. Then your eyesight changes via the brain and then you see how it actually is travelling with a little more thought. Nothing that can not happen in other circumstances either. You have the free will to discern what is really happening, with perhaps a little more thought about it.

And appearances can be deceiving by the illusions that can catch the eyes. You can look up others on the Internet, for there are the usual famous ones that are what they are - illusions.

could be mold,maybe when water get in,it swells.you need to check for mold.

you had a flying insect.. if you believe in ghost or demoms then you set your self up to be fearful for the rest of your life. people who do not believe in them are never afraid of them and are not fearful of them.. Therefore ditch all stuff conected with demons and ghost for peace of mind.. ditch ghost mov ies too . put open Holy Bibles in your rooms .and on your computer desk and at your night stand . turn your mental energies away from demons ghost and all occult crap and turn to the Bible and God and Jesus and the HOlY Spirit .and read it cause it makes you relax and more peaceful . check out some religious channels on sunday find some you like that do not worry you .. . .

The house is alive! Seriously though, unless you hear knocking on the walls and/or hear footsteps or hear voices then it is probably just some natural but weird action of water. The things ghosts do are much weirder than water streaks.

the complete event has not been posted.

i ran to get a camera, battery dead. when i got back to tub,
the veins had climbed about 14 inches.

this is the honest to God truth, the veins had stopped
and pooled, not pooled, formed like an imperfects sphere,
and made squirting sounds, appeared to be ejecting some
comet cleaner i sprinkled earlier.

then.....as God is my witness, the imperfect sphere,
spread itself in a thin sheeth along the ledge,
then the sheeth travelled up in rectangle shape.
it went up about 5 feet in a 6 x 5 foot sheeth.

then the weird shit started in my home. i eventually
walked away from house with clothes on my back after
a 1 year battle. whatever it was, it won.

mold was my guess. but what type of mold has visible realtime motility? plays with your mind?
