Humans shouldn't be eating meat. They also should cut down on the sugar processed flour and dairy. Lot's more vegetables and fruits and you will feel twenty years younger. All that nasty fat will drop off as well.

You have shown your lack of knowledge about cattle ranching. Cattle have been fed a mix of hay, along with helpings of an oat/corn mix for centuries.
How do I know this? One of my daily chores was mixing feed, & dragging bales of hay to feed the cattle on our ranch.

Some people do raise cattle your way, but some of us raise them on grass only..both dairy and beef. Pastured in summer, hay fed in pasture in winter. The dairy cows get some molasses for energy, and they all have free access to kelpmeal and salt/mineral mix and water. That's all, no oats, corn, soy, or any other grain. The dairy cows get a mixed alfalfa hay, the beefers get a marshgrass or timothy. Access to grass and sunshine has been shown to provide a different composition of the amino acids in the muscle tissue of the animal, leading to a less artery clogging product.

Corn fed beef is guuud....when the SHTF...all you organic fairies are gonna be dying....welp...all we got is Spaghetti-0's before we move out..OMG I ate a molecule of MSG!!!...keel right the fuck over.....Me?...I can live on ANYTHING...I don't even care if it's pure solidified lab produced meat organisms in a can...and anything that grows, runs, crawls, flies or swims?...I'll eat that too. You guys are all be croaking off like fruit flies if you don't your organic sprouts....and why is that everyone I know that eats all these "Organic natural" foods have the most food allergies and all sorts of bizzaro reactions and have to eat crap like No gluten sugar free no salt fine for bubble boyz bread?....go eat a frikkin hotdog....it'll toughen you up!

Cows need more calories during the cold winter months, grains fulfill that need more economically than just hay, alone.

The bovines of today need more calories to maintain their 'beefier' bodies than their slender wild buddies.

What you should be railing about is the practice of feeding cows ground up animal tissue...now that is unhealthy and dangerous, that is how 'mad cow' gets spread.

I am hardly in the business to make a profit...it is more of a hobby, a healthy hobby that puts good food on the table.

I know what you mean, but our family has no allergies, and I like the idea of knowing how to make that hotdog! I even bought a sausage stuffer at auction last year.
I have 4 kids, they will eat most anything, okay..one won't eat bean sprouts or swiss cheese, and another only eats cheese if it is melted, but for the most part give them a new vegetable or some other food and they will try it out. I like the idea of knowing HOW to get all my food, not so much I am totally against whatever other people want to eat, but I am not looking forward to the day tptb tell me I HAVE to eat only processed foods from one of their corporations. Home grown food is my own person rebellion against them.

Ah, a pretty little farm girl who knows how to do chores. I was looking for one of them when I got married, and ended up marrying a pretty little city girl who knew nothing.

I watch em all, and yes everyone should watch Food Inc. to see what has happened to the food production business.

Grass-fed beef is hard to find, but it's he best by far. Can't even find a good burger anywhere anymore.

Well mine are all grass fed this winter because I don't have the money to invest in a lot of grain.

I never grained them heavily anyway...they are trained to come to the sound of banging on their metal grain bucket, and you don't want to be in their way, especially the bull calf.

I'll be selling a half beef come next summer, can't wait for my own freezer full.

Anyone who's eaten free-range anything knows the difference.

I would welcome cows eating organic corn, as it is they eat other dead cow parts (yes, mad cow too) and GM crops. Combine this with the bovine growth hormones (Thanks Monsanto!) that's injected into them and you've got meat & milk not fit for dogs

We eat retard cloned meat its disgusting. The slaughter house they film its just so disgusting makes you want to fast and start hunting and only eating wild game.
